I'm wondering what happened to this game because last year, a friend had asked me to play and I ended up getting kicked from a server for calling some guy a faggot and suggesting that maybe he shouldn't be talking about "women" with dicks and other weird shit on a public chat. Anyways, apparently that kind of thing isn't unusual on there these days and you kind of just have to deal with it so, even if the game was kind of fun, I decided I couldn't be bothered to play it again.
It's a shame that, even on the internet, the options are now pretty limited in terms of where you can actually be critical of that kind of shit. I've even had people I know personally partially agree with me but still tell me it's "not all trannies" which, sure whatever, but that's kind of missing the point; I just want to call certain things out without even having to get into the politics of it.
I know this is kinda late but as someone who has gotten slightly back into Pokemon, the entire fandom like with most other fandoms is crawling with LGBT types. Literally the first art piece I see of the original three is Brock with top surgery scars and of course LGBTQ headcanons. Although (maybe someone who is big into the Pokemon fandom can help me with this) , it doesn't help that some of the stuff Gamefreak put into both the games and anime are filled with "queer coded" things. For example, there was a thread on the Pokemon subreddit where they claim that there's a female beauty who used to be a blackbelt and Pokemon only has male blackbelts. Here's the character in question.
Same with the goth scene, this is the only safe place to complain about troons ruining it.
Yes this is a correct interpretation. Sometimes translations are changed for the sake of making it sound more natural in other languages even if it isn't accurate as I don't think anyone would say "The power of medical of science is amazing isn't it" in this context but I also don't know the full context. Most likely this was a change done for the purpose of making it sound better in English cause If anything I feel like that sounds more trans coded than "Quite the transformation". Regardless I'd say anyone who thinks pokemon is trying to be progressive and trans-inclusive is pretty delusional.
Where do you discuss such? I occasionally look at Moviechat.org after watching an abysmal horror movie, since I miss the old IMDB forums, and I don't see that much of any gender nonsense there.
