Man, I hate this character. I mean, it was obvious by the colors of """"her"""" clothing and the way Featherweight was introduced in the comic.
It was during a protest, and the smol cutesy gurl uwu punched an APC into a wall with no effort at all, because "muh abusive police force". For real.
Then, later, the tranny had to take a door down inside the Justice League Unlimited satellite (a door designed to deter high level villains, by the way) and he simply could not... Find in his heart a reason to hate the door? Because hate is what activates his strength? He had to be coaxed by a lame "no gods, no masters" speech by Cheetah to take it down. Then there's this thing with Solomon Grundy, which regularly gave Batman and the Justice League trouble. THE WHOLE JUSTICE LEAGUE.
There's also the whole matter of Klarion, The Boy Witch, which is the personification of chaos, having a crush on Featherweight and acting TOTALLY out of character because he wants to be dicked down. Klarion is not gay. Hell, Klarion does not have time to waste with gender pandering. HE IS CHAOS. And he gets all meek when Featherweight gives him a peck in the cheek in the end of the comic.

There's one moment to me that shines, however. After the heist is concluded and the group leaves the JLU base, Blue Beetle and Robin(Damian Wayne, Featherweight's cousin) are chatting and he's ashamed of what happened. The lore explanation is "he's ashamed of """her""" crimes", but to me this is totally into character. Damian was raised by the League of Assassins. Ra's Al Ghul trained him personally on some things. To me, Damian is ashamed of his tranny cousin.

I quit watching long ago because I couldn't stand hearing TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS every other donation even though the spotlight cause is supposed to be cancer research or Doctors Without Borders. They have to co-opt everything to their hideous, selfish agenda.

It was funny sometimes when a runner gave no shits about it and just would ignore it though, you could always feel a palpable awkwardness.

Jokes aside, Featherweight just has a seriously lame character design. I'm baffled that anyone at DC was able to look at him and think "yeah, this QUEEN is gonna fit right in with the Justice League!".

His design has zero "oomph" factor - there's nothing about him that looks cool, stylish, intimidating, practical, or interesting in any way.

He suffers from the Concord school of character design - soft pastel colors and a baggy hoodie that make him extremely doughie and non-threatening, thereby making him impossible to take seriously.

The fact that he has OP super strength does absolutely nothing to make him seem cool, it just feels like a lazy unearned cheat code. In the example page provided by Miriam, you can see that Feather's pose is very bland and flat - he shows no signs of struggle or effort as he restrains that giant heavy thing with one hand.

"Suspension of disbelief" is key here. Wonder Woman also has super strength despite looking more like a super model than a bodybuilder, but everybody's fine with it cause her character design is cool, as she looks capable and athletic. But Featherweight? He's got no "cool" factor to speak of. He looks like he belongs in his mother's basement grooming minors on Discord, not putting up a fight with giant roid monsters.
 
More of a minor annoyance, but genderbends.

I feel like this was a bigger trend in the 2000's, but I'd argue that Tumblr helped in sort of killing it off. In the early 2010's, there was some discourse on Tumblr about genderbends being "transphobic." I don't exactly remember why (something about gendered stereotypes?) But anyway, I think somewhere along the line, western genderbends got turned into "transing" characters (adding boob scars most of the time.)

I think I only thought about this because I looked up a genderbent character (I think they're slightly more popular in Japan) on Reddit (first mistake) and one of the first things I see is "omg they are trans!" art. Granted this happens with every fictional character ever but I got annoyed more than usual for some reason. Like some type of reminder that you can never just have fun anymore. I guess in the end this doesn't even matter, I don't know why I bother complaining.
 
Therapy. Therapy is already kinda shitty but it depends on what exactly you are getting it for, I got bad OCD and I wanna see a therapist yet I can't justify paying $115 out of pocket if the therapist has a potential to be trans accepting. I'm getting insurance soon but still. A trans ally therapist is useless.

So, you are trying to find a non-trans affirming therapist? If I may ask, is it your OCD that is leading to "trans" issues? I am not sure how you would vet therapists since it seems they have all largely signed on to the "trans-affirming" ideology of mental health treatment.

This is why it is not so easy now for people to get the help they need instead of going down the trans road to hell because at this point, most of the mental health profession is just going to hand out pink pills to anybody with any degree of gender insecurity.

the ugliest most stereotypical tranny design ever produced. The ugly kitty ear oversized hoodie with the anime bow, the mini skirt, the cringe thigh socks, the bubblegum pink hair, stupid ass name, why even bother? I wonder what tranny self inserted their OC into DC this week.

Have you tried searching through one of those services that promote therapy as a first resort? And yeah, they ruined therapy big time. And if you can't get a therapist, I'm going to suggest something my therapist suggested before the TQ+ movement took off for OCD; journaling.
 
This one may not be specific to troons, but I hate when they are put in positions of power. Not a troon this time but got a project I was a part of get destroyed from the inside because of a tranny pandering handmaiden that finds the most mild jokes extremely offensive, i.e. calling something "Jewish". Letting lefties and troons in just destroys communities and any sort of free speech, can't stand these types.

I thought that was an anime thing? Furries are extremely accepting, which is why they are seen as the most degenerate types of people online. The most disgusting person you could think of likely has a hugbox behind them in some way. I never seen a furry call anyone a "tourist", i mean why the hell would anyone wanna fake being apart of that community LOL

Furries are the opposite, they will classify you as a furry either seriously, or to fuck with you over the minimalist of things. There's a reason there's a meme about SpongeBob being a furry character as he is an animal (sponge) anthropomorphized.

The category is insanely broad and generally falls under a mix of self identity, ei calling yourself a furry on your own, or if you have an avatar that's an anthropomorphic animal be it your creation or someone else's would get you put into the category. Obviously there's the stereotypes but they aren't exactly true or false since it's such a large community that it's more accurate to say you'd be stereotyping a subcommunity, but the demographics between subcommunities is it's own beast. A good example of the wideness of the community is someone could have a zootopia profile picture because they like the characters, all the way to full degenerates taking part in illegal activities, there is so much in between that it's hard to throw a stereotype and not be inaccurate to at least some sub-group.

I'd genuinely compare it to the anime community in its vastness between casual fan all the way to hentai rapist degenerate with too much sub-groups in between who are each in it for different reasons and only under the same community due to "Anime" being the only bar to reach.

Edit to not double-post or en-shitify the thread further, despite what I have said, the furry community overall has its reputation generally for a reason and it's because the worst people in it are the loudest. When someone says they hate furries, generally they mean people like poo folf or other heinous individuals. The community does have its own sort of policing but it's inconsistent and much like some lolcows, no matter how shit of a person some are they will always have people protect them and fund them. Generally, it's all just a spectrum of autistic people of varying qualities of character with different fixations all shoved under the same label due to its singular requirement to meet. Apologies for the sperg posting and powerleveling, I generally only bring this powerlevel up with intentions of providing insider insight.

Cannot tell you how relieved I get when I listen to a Y2k-ish modern electronic album (house, atmospheric drum & bass), check, and see it's produced by a real woman. It's sadly getting rarer and rarer these days though
