That's slapstick? A mediocre Looney Tune or Tom and Jerry cartoon have more clever slapstick than that. Or the Three Stooges.


It annoys me when bronies say that ponies are a homage to classic cartoons. They really aren't.

Not to mention that Chuck Jones, Willi Hanna, Joseph Barbera, and the Stooges would be rolling in their graves when bronies make comments like that...
 
@ dollarpennypincher: Were those even presented as jokes? If just falling over with no gag to it counts as slapstick, we seriously need to redefine the word.

None of the examples he picked were jokes as I keep watching this crap. I mean as you said, if there was a lot more to the examples he picked, I'd understand where he's coming from but as it is, not much of what he picked is even what I'd call cartoony or funny at all. It's just actions that the characters make without any joke behind them.
