Hey, @Nayolfa , I got a great explanation for the Growing Around world!

Basically, radioactive mutant squirrels run the world now, and they dictated that children and adults should switch roles because radioactive mutant squirrels are insane. Hell, you could have that Jerome dude fight the radioactive mutant squirrels, even though he knows that the longer he fights them, the more years he takes off his life (because they're radioactive).

I think it'll actually make your show interesting, because it certainly isn't now!

The only one I discredit is "RESTART EVERYTHING IT SUCKS"

I'm making this cartoon as practice. So any plans I have with the pilot are final. Anything past that can be completely changed.

If you're only making this to practice...then this is not going to be remotely close to being anything ready for prime time television.

You don't want to scrap it? Fine. Shelve it then. You yourself repeatedly admit you do not have the skills to actually pull this off, but you are not going to magically gain them and be able to turn what sounds like the first animation project you've ever done into a pitch-ready package. But trying to brute-force your way toward realizing this desire to have Growing Around become a true TV cartoon is only going to produce sub-par quality in the end and the critical first impressions are going to kill any chance of it having of even being worth a channel executive's time.

So put it on the shelf or something and start over fresh that way. You don't need to go all-out scorched Earth here, but at the same time you need to have a better foundation before this project can ever become what you want it to be. If you are truly as devoted to the project as you say you are, this is necessary in order to make it the best possible example of what you can do, and your desire to see this through will ensure it will not be forgotten. And if your desire isn't enough, well...at least you cut your losses sooner than later.

Speaking of which, Casey seems very nice. Such a shame he's being shat on by manchildren.

May God be with him - and help him through this BS (whether he believes or not...). En-tard can go burn in Hell - him and his pathetic armada of suckups.

Also, Nayfloya, or whatever your fucking name is - you need to get the fuck out of here, give up, and sit in a corner and think about your goddamn life - and how much you risk fucking it up with your ilk.

I know what it like to work on something I really thought was so good and going to be huge that anyone else could tell was terrible and like I kyle I refuse to listen to those who told me it wouldn't and after it failed to get any where after tons of work it kind of hurt when It did. I would love to think Kyle, Enter and anyone else involved with growing around can and will take a step back and see this just will fail. Sadly it seem they will only learn once this whole thing fails hard.

I can understand why Kyle thinks it good idea to make a cartoon "for practise" learning by doing and what not but that just an awful idea trying to make a cartoon meant for tv before even finishing college, it been said a million times already but he should just stop and focus on his education then work on other people projects to learn how this whole thing is done before even thinking about making growing around a network cartoon.

Okay, since Enter does have a tumblr (mrenter.tumblr.com), does anyone think that he and his supporters have caught the tumblr bug and he is basically becoming more and more full-blown SJW because of this?

It's always a possibility.
As much as I find his videos to be a guilty pleasure, I am seriously concerned that he could EASILY become like the Nostalgia Chick and the other critics at TGWTG and be major radfem/SJW ilk... Like, no, I really don't need another critic that I happen to enjoy watching just because of the fact that he has a tumblr (which is filled with SJW bullshit) and because so many other critics are becoming Anita Sarkeesian wannabes and full blown SJWs (including ones that inspired Mr. Enter to review in the first places such as Todd in the Shadows).

I don't know about anybody else here, but I would watch a show about radioactive mutant squirrels.

This is so true. Especially the part about studying golden age animation. Disney, WB, Fleischers, and Tom and Jerry are great for tools.

I heard the Preston Blair is great too.
Yeah, that's all great stuff. It's amazing how a lot of cartoons were made back then, even the ones that had to use limited animation (there's a lot of funny stuff with timing). One of my teachers restores old animated films and he shows our class old cartoons often. He even showed us some old cartoons that haven't been seen since the twenties and thirties. I never really appreciated the old stuff until I took animation classes. I missed out on a lot of good stuff, lol.

And yeah, Preston Blair is fantastic. He has a book too. Disney's nine old men are worth studying too.

Anyways, thanks for the link to the animator's survival kit. I'm going to be working on animation eventually and I heard that the book helps out with just being an artist also.

Yeah, no problem. Look into it when you have to chance. It's a great book and I always have it on my side, especially when I'm working on 3D animation. But, it teaches you more how to animate in Richard Williams's style...and if you seen his work (Thief and the Cobbler, Who Framed Rodger Rabbit), you'll know what I mean. Also, I don't think it's too technical, but if you're just starting out, it might be hard to jump into it. It's worth buying it though, even if you don't plan on animating that much. And there's a lot of great resources for animation if you look around, even online. There's a few good animation blogs on tumblr.

He did apologize for that. It's on his Dailymotion "Pet Sitter Pat" review. It's on Dailymotion because Youtube copywright bullshit.

I watched, he literally just said "Don't do that." That isn't a fucking apology, he just doesn't want to look bad.

I heard about it from an animator I watch. Anyways, I plan on getting into the animation industry after Graphic Design. I'm not the best artist right now, so I'm using graphic design (for a job) and this cartoon as an way to get better.
