Curiosity.

But I thought the mere thought of your precious project sinking was enough to send you into a deep depression.

You keep saying you're leaving but I check and you're still here. And you're still here for the attention and to try to save face. It ain't working. We're not going to magically tell you that your project is worth saving. It's your own fault if you won't take our advice.

Curiosity.
Since you're curious, can I say something directly to you?

When I was trying to find just one positive thing to say about Growing Around, the only thing that comes to mind is the story-boarding. Your art isn't groundbreaking by any means, but you put forth a lot of effort, and I can respect that. You just need to realize that while it may sound harsh, there are people trying their damnedest to give you real advice - advice that isn't just bullshit ass-patting from 13 year olds. I get that you're really attached, but you need to cut off the infected limb before it's too late. At the same time, it is pretty unreasonable to expect you to drop what you've been doing for so long and enjoying it.

So, here's my advice.

1. Step back and try to be objective about what you're working on. Have some introspection and really see if this is what you want to do or if you feel obligated because MrEnter is your friend.
2. Don't disregard criticism that isn't sugar-coated.
3. Don't kick the hornet's nest here. You don't seem like that shitty of a guy, just immature.
4. Either stay or go, but you really need to stop with the bullshit "I'm leaving because I have so much work to do!" every post. Everyone has responsibilities, you're nothing special. Every time you do it, you just seem mad.

Edit:

5. (And this one is fucking important): If you stick with it, be emotionally prepared for failure. Be prepared to go through shit-tons of effort and have nothing to show for it. Be prepared to not even get a reply from a network. With how unstable you seemed from basic teenage bullshit, I really rather you not off yourself because a shitty concept didn't take off.

Growing Around is a terrible title. It's very cumbersome and the "joke" isn't obvious or funny. The show itself is stretched around a paper thin concept that has been done to death as single episodes and is no where near substantial enough to carry a series.

The writing is terrible and the talent would be better spent on an original idea that could work as a full series. It's obvious a lot of work has went into the drawing and animation, but it's just a bad concept.

Hey Kyle, why do you have trouble understanding whatever I post? Please tell me.

If I'm one of the people who have been sperging in this thread, I am sorry. What can I do to avoid this in the future?

The only one I discredit is "RESTART EVERYTHING IT SUCKS"

I'm making this cartoon as practice. So any plans I have with the pilot are final. Anything past that can be completely changed.

As an animator myself, I have to say that if you don't have 100 percent passion for a project, it's better to scrap it.

Also, we wouldn't be hating on you if you replied more maturely.

I want to finish college in the case that we actually make the show good enough to be picked up.

Wake up cuz, it probably won't get picked up. You'd need to work very fucking hard and change a lot for it to even be considered. Granted that might send you into "depression," but changes need to occur.

Also so it's out there, were probably not pitching the show until we animate another episode. I want to finish college in the case that we actually make the show good enough to be picked up.

-But, you're still tearing up yourself over a series. Look, I get it man, you really wanna make a show, but this doesn't seem very healthy for you.
