Come to think, if he want to make a slice of life why not just not a slice of life, one without pointless gimmicks that just rise too many questions that the show doesn't answer.
Because it's his idea and no one else can touch it. Not even Kyle was able to convince him other wise. Slice of life needs to be entertaining. Like this:

Really? I thought I heard him kinda dismiss it.
In some of the ways you suggested, yeah. But overall it's a good idea to add more believable conflicts to the world. Thanks for reminding me about that idea and helping expand on it. I probably would have forgotten about it until we released the pilot.

Well I wasn't invited last night to say anything. :/

We didn't really say anything last night, I just tried to get some ideas down for some scenery around town. The only thing we really though of is that town hall has park behind it with tons of tree houses connected to each other and the town hall.

*EDIT* Actually MrEnter asked me to call you, but we were talking someone else on my other personal Skype. So I couldn't hop over to talk to you without leaving them. Sorry!

You and I have different definitions of "entertaining".

I'm happy that you guys (or at least you) seem to actually be taking our advice to heart.

Don't mean to go a bit off topic, but I like to share my opinion about him. I remember my girlfriend showing me his video reviews and Good Fucking Lord, I absolutely cannot stand this sperg and his over analysis of every SpongeBob episode that he deems to be "terrible". It's odd that he's not affiliated with Channel Awesome, because he'd fit in perfectly with most of the hack reviewers from TGWTG.

You know how I'd make Growing Around work? Make the concept of "maturity" run backwards. The adults would be more serious, more down-to-earth, but less responsible. Meanwhile, the children would be much more goofy and spastic, yet more capable. That way, the kids could get away with acting childish without looking like douchebags. I'd also make aging work backwards. The reality Enter has created is far too nonsensical (especially if he's trying to be serious about it).

The world itself should be creative and different from ours. And I don't mean the "hurrdeehur milkshakes=beer" crap. I mean genuinely imaginative and out there ideas. Have ants be the size of elephants, elephants could be as small as mice. There could be chocolate mountains, geysers that spout tea. Maybe candy grows from trees and fruits/vegetables are manufactured in factories. There's so much potential, and that's just from the top of my head. Sure, it wouldn't make sense, but it'd be interesting and captivating. Plus the stubborn Rosanski could still maintain that "slice-of-life" genre he wants, without making it too boring.

What I said is probably stupid, but it's still better than what Enter has right now.

What's wrong with TGWTG?

And maybe pets could be treated as equals

Actually, if everything works backwards, wouldn't the humans be pets and the pets humans?

...

Damn, this just got a lot more terrifying. I knew Gumdrops was evil all along.

I just find most of the reviewers there to be awful at reviewing and the whole crossover thing that they have going on there to be annoying and unnecessary. Granted, I used to like the Nostalgia Critic's early reviews, but as he went on, he hasn't changed and his reviews become painfully predictable at best.

I prefer the AVGN and Mr.Plinkett personally. If you like TGWTG, that's fine. We all different tastes. :)
