I don't disagree, but it's been reliably slow. No more random 504 errors, very few "clicked a link and it took 15 seconds to load" issues. That's a major step in the right direction.

Yeah thats true, have not run into any 504 errors either, so I guess we are on the right track. Hoping we can get images and videos to load faster

Speaking of videos, am I retarded or does it seem like the site tries to buffer every video loaded on a page? Like in the funny videos thread, I noticed that it seems to be trying to buffer every single video there, even if you never clicked to play them. Not sure if anything can be done about it, but if so it seems like something that might cause performance issues

On the machines, what does ls -l /dev/mapper show?

If there's anything other than control on a particular machine, that shows that you're using a part of the mapper system that's not fully integrated.
