Im doing the one from NYTimes so idk if its different but years ago when wordle was new I saw some guy on the SA wordle thread post a word to start with and its just busted. He didnt explain why it works but I guess its 4 of the most common consonants in the alphabet and then a vowel so youre gonna get or not get those plus a vowel. After that I just start pairing phonetic syllables and usually get it. It doesnt work for words with a lot of vowels or repeating letters but those are uncommon words.
