Anyone ever get it on the first? I usually use ATONE as my starter. It has to hit at some point plus it has three vowels and the five most common letters. OATEN also works.

It took me a while between 2 and 3 because I just couldn't bring the word to mind.
 
So what are your starting words? I really can't think of one better than ATONE. It's one of two possibilities that gets all of the top five most common letters into one word. I generally follow after that with however many letters of RISHDLU I can get in, for the same reason. I want to get all the vowels in the first two if I can.

That was kind of my goal, though I fell a little short this time. lol

I started with "Angle" and "Easer." I re-used "E" as a starting letter and further ruled out "B" and "D" with "Ebbed." This left a limited selection of untried letters, leading me to try "Epoch." When Epoch didn't work, I tried the only other five-letter Epoxx word I could think of, Epoxy.

Probably could have saved myself some time by actually using all five vowels in my first two words or by trying the word "proxy," though the latter is highly unlikely without knowing the correct solution in advance. :optimistic:

I also went to
epoch
and then sat there baffled like a retard for five minutes. It wasn't until I realized that if I couldn't think of a word with my usual method of starting out with common letters it must be time to go for the weird letters. Oh boy, x and y did the trick!

🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Almost fucked this one up. I try not to always start with the same word, it makes it more fun for me that way. I started with THOSE today. Once I had E-O-Y and couldn't for the life of me think of a word that would fit other than EBONY or ELOGY and it got me nowhere. Tossed VAMPY in to try to get another letter, then I got the P and finally thought of EPOXY. When I play Sedecordle, I usually start with ADIEU to get the most vowels out of the way.
