One tip to keep in mind is that the best move isn't always swapping tiles into their obvious spot.

At times, there's almost an inverse locality bonus, where swapping across the board is the best option even if it doesn't trigger as many successes.

You don't need to lead the whole race to win; you just need to be ahead by the end.
