It has come to my attention that there's no Transformers (the correct kind) discussion thread in the farms. I'm here to remedy that. Discuss your favorite toy, animated series, comic, or game. Anything really. Hate on Hasbro for their horrible leadership chasing after the wrong kinds of Transformers. We hold the future in our hands! I'll start!
One of the first Transformers Toys I got as a kid was an Onslaught Toy. And man I love this thing. A Tank with Two Barrels, Six Wheels, and Claws? Wow! And then his transformed version is an amazing-looking Mech, with Claw Shoulders, a Shield, and a Gun in his arm. This guy might feel overly designed, but he was cool to play with, so I don't care!
For Animated Series, my favorite would probably be the Unicron Trilogy, specifically Armada. As an anime series, it fit in nicely alongside other cool anime at the time. No other Transformers series has ever been as good at making me want to watch more.
I don't read the comics, but I loved the short manga crossover with Mazinger Z. Nothing better than seeing big robots fight against evil!
For games, I think the best has to be Transformers Devastation. Lots of big robot action with a great cel-shaded G1 Aesthetic!
You might notice I mostly mentioned the Japanese parts of Transformers, but that's also because the Western Media never hit the same way with me. I don't know why. Transformers One is a wonderful exception. I'm sad that it didn't succeed at the box office.
