It's a great way to boost chart numbers. Put out shitty one album with as many variants as possible. Sales of the 33 non-standard versions more than makes up for the lackluster performance of the album itself.Oh wow we're mining the 90's comics speculator bubble for our business model now? I'd normally say that won't last but Taylor has the biggest group of braindead consoomers following her, so she'll probably print money until the sun explodes.
Disney could learn a thing or two from Taylor. Instead of throwing $300M at a god-awful flop, throw $50M at half a dozen smaller films. There a plenty of people who'll see anything and everything they put out and Disney is severely limiting the amount of money they can milk from them. Hell, Blumhouse figured this out ages ago.
