Also, Phantom Pain is on sale right now for 5 dollars. It's kinda old at this point but if you haven't played this game you are retarded for not buying it at this price.

I prefer to avoid sales most of the time so that I don't buy games that I have no plan on playing anytime soon.
Bought the Atelier Arland trilogy which was also on sale in the japanese eshop, so I could replay them again during this autumn/winter, but I'm holding off the Dusk trilogy until way later.
In a nutshell, a janitor under the name of cvxfreak (and also a huge sony fanboy) had enough of Media Creates threads where Nintendo continues to dominate the vidya market in Japan and the rest of Asia (namely Taiwan and South Korea) while PS games are met with ridiculously low numbers, due of no competition. The incident exploded when it was found out that the mod revealed his power-tripping on Discord and banned a couple of users from the forum, including the guy who had access to Media Creates (as that website started to have a paywall a few years ago) and made the threads on Resetera/Neogaf for over a decade and so.
Sales figures and industry trends generally dictate the kinds of games that are being made and on which platforms, so it's interesting to see how things play out. Especially with Japan still being a massive console game market. It makes sense to aim for the Switch and PC as long-term consumer investments (rather than the PS5) if you're really into japanese games for example, at least as far the sale charts have been demonstrating for nearly a year.
inb4 marissa moira screeching how this doesn't collide with his worldview in 3...2...1... although I hope this doesn't derail this thread
