third episode, the one where Homer gets fired, tried to kill himself, becomes a safety guy
it's so weird how much nothing looks right
not just black smithers, burns's office, the window behind the couch at the home
like some bizarro bootleg simpsons

also the gradient colors on some backgrounds are weird
To be fair, it was the first season and there was a lot of weird incongruities in the animation. Remember Ms. Botzcoski and her almost unnaturally smooth animation?
Hell, Beavis and Butt-head had the same problem with a lot of the early episodes, for instance the scene where Principal McVickers starts drinking a bottle of Old Crow in his office after forbidding Beavis and Butt-head from laughing. Sadly I can't find a clip of that scene, but it was really poorly animated by comparison to later seasons. Sometimes it takes awhile to figure everything out. Usually by the second season the animators have had enough practice to accomplish a more consistent animation style.

Yep, the first season of these shows really was something new and it was never done before, and the people behind them were young and possibly inexperienced to this concept. It wouldn't surprise me if Mike had to animate the earlier episodes of Beavis & Butt-Head just to give the MTV staff an idea of where to go with this show.

Yep, B&B had multiple eras: the Crude Era (the first few episodes) in which everything was cheaply made and done in crayon, then they had a 2nd season with weird, stylized artwork like in Couch Fishing and Comedians, then after that they had a standard formulaic series until it ended. Like, you can watch episodes of B&B from seasons 4-6 and not see any major differences, but if you binge the 1st few seasons you can see dramatic differences across each season.

The thing that stood out the most to me is Homer's audience at 1:14 of this video. It's basically a mass of poorly-drawn heads.

I wish Hit & Run got a remaster, too bad Disney & Fox aren't too keen on the idea of them.

Yeah, I know about publishing rights, but they're so rich that they can eat the cost of getting those rights.
The good news is that you can download the PC version very easily as it's considered abandonware or whatever, and then you can download a nice mod launcher that makes the game work on modern PCs pretty well

Unless you want it on consoles then you can go straight to hell says disney
