Something about Chuck having sister wives is bothering me. I don't know why.
According to the shitty wiki (which I never fully trust) they only refer to them as his sisters rather than sister wives if that's anything to go by.
Still a pretty cheap blow to this work of art.

Regardless, the Sneed lore is now complete.

I'm of the opinion that anyone who repeats the lie that Walt Disney was a Nazi is fully in the know as to how and why he was accused and is just spreading it because of ideology.
Maybe. But I think a lot of people may have heard about it from Family Guy. Seth MacFarlane had Brian state it as an unchallenged fact in at least one episode. I think SNL may have said it too in a TV Funhouse skit.

I heard that "Amadeus" song while shopping earlier.

For a moment I thought the singer was going, "Dr. Zaius! Dr. Zaius!"...

Also, I thought Mars was uninhabitable?

I think Mars was originally a "dreary, uninhabitable wasteland (much like Utah)", but natives lived there anyway, as shown by the Great Stone Face (and Great Stone Ass). After the natives traded Mars for a "bead" and moved to reservation, the terraforming of Mars began when Mars University was founded.

But yeah, it could've been a retcon.

No it wasn't, it was concocted by the Hollywood Anti-Nazi League and was first printed in the Daily Worker when he had a slap fight with a cartoonist's union affiliated with Herb Sorrell and his organization, the CSU. You can thank the Soviet Union for that one.

Here's footage of Walt Disney testifying against Herbert Sorrell.

I've heard for years that Walt was a fascist and an anti-semite, but for the life of me, I've never been presented with any proof that it was true. Its just something that people have stated and joked about as if it was fact, but nothing I've ever read or seen has suggested that there's even a hint of it being true.

depending on how you define fascist maybe
his whole "Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow" was basically "you'll own nothing and you'll be happy"

'Fascist' is a catch-all term which has no definition, so it really means anything, that's why progressives use it.

So sure, he was a fascist just the way you and I and Karl Marx are fascists.

If you use Mussolini's definition, being that of the corporations and state being conjoined as one, then no he wasn't.

You could call him a plutocrat, but that's not as sexy and damning-sounding as "fascist".

Walt really wanted to build a futuristic city where people would own nothing. You'd live in a small apartment laboring for the company, your belongings would be changed out as companies allowed you to be the lucky volunteers to try out the next wave of gadgets.

That's not ideologically Fascist though, that's really more Communist than anything.

Ironic, Disney was labeled a Nazi by Communists only to dream up a Communist utopia.

yeah, like I said, in the "I'm in charge and everybody else isn't." sort of way

Now, why are we doomed to this Quimby quagmire, you ask, O Reasonable Listener? Because this town is under the stranglehold of... a few tie-dyed tree huggers who would rather play hacky sack than lock up the homeless.
