I remember catching the "Days of Holidays Past" episode because it did have outstanding critical reception and being amused by it. "Well this is the best they can do now" was my overall thought. Had some chuckle worthy lines like Lisa saying Christmas was banned in Michigan because of Sharia Law.

Glad I didn't follow up with the most recent future episodes. In fact I'm pretty sure that's the latest Zombie Simpsons I watched from beginning to end. Of course that one doesn't hold a candle to "Lisa's Wedding" but that's beside the point.
 
Today I learned that at some point, Corpse Simpsons tried to make fun of Sonic fans being mad about the original movie design.

Because you have to respect the vision! You don’t know what you want, let Hollywood tell you what to like! Just consume product and get excited for next product.

To be fair, Current Year - the 2010s - was a blur to many from what I hear. So 2010 seems fairly recent, despite being 11 years ago. So bringing up something from 2018 or 12019 isn't that odd anymore.

But yeah, like @RumblyTumbly said, the first design was terrible, and I'm not really a sanic fan either. It looked so different from the official design.

That's why Hollywood of Current Year sucks. Instead of listening to demand, they tell people what they think the demand is, and people are "bigots" or some other buzzword if they don't like it.

Did they also throw in a Birds of Prey reference in that episode too, in reference to some people blaming the Sonic movie for taking away viewers that would have watched Birds of Prey instead?

The 2010s really were a blur to many. The '90s can still feel like last decade, or the decade before at most. But nope, they're separated from this decade by 2.

Also the use of shading, color, and lines in Corpse Simps makes scenes in it look like they're in a dirty fluorescent-lit room somehow. Like there's an ugly and depressing tint to them.

I used to think that this weird color streaking (Krabappel and Skinner against the chalkboard) issue was just my shitty TV reception, now I know it's just part of the show. Neat.

I like how in the after photo his eyes aren't even bridged together like in his signature look, he just looks like a blue Mickey Mouse. They can't even get their dig right.

It's good to know that the people currently behind the most iconic animated TV show of the past fifty years are barely any different from Moviebob.
