Speaking of dubs, in the Japanese dub of the Superbowl episode, the "do you like piña colonics" song Homer sings is left undubbed. Also the dub dialog does the "Atlanta Falcons" mug gag in Japanese.

I've seen so many reruns of the Superbowl episode that I pretty much knew what they were talking about the whole time.

(The Japanese dub is one of the audio tracks of that episode on the DVD.)

Actually, I think my older brother eventually made it to the shopping mall level with floating shoes and whatnot, but we eventually gave up.

Now, Bart vs. The World: we managed to get to the Egypt level I think, but got game over.
The shopping level is #2 and the jumping puzzles are dogshit that ruin a potentially great game

I couldn't beat the 1st level.

Old 8-bit games are always ridiculously hard to me. The lack of saving or passwords doesn't really help.

"Nintendo hard" indeed.

BTW I remember seeing this SNES game once where the goal is to set up a path for rats to be exterminated or the like.

(poor rats)

how do y’all feel about Bart Vs the space mutants I personally find it to be moderately under-appreciated
I got it without renting it first as a kid when it was new. I sorta fucking hated it but kept trying to play it.
Looking back I can see how they were trying to be ambitious in mixing platforming and those click on everything adventure pc games, but that doesn't make it fun.
And the platforming was shit. Totally shit.

Whoever decided A+B together would jump and also run needs to suffer for their sin

A computer having 512 shades of red is accurate. In 24-bit RGB, there's 256 shades from black to red, and 256 shades from red to white. I hope no one got fired for that since that wasn't a blunder.

I've never played the itchy and scratchy game but from what I've seen it's a unique idea for its time.

OK it uses the Simpsons license to have itchy and scratchy in it but it also advertises itself like if it was an actual product you'd see IN the Simpsons universe

Like I can legit imagine Rodger Myers Jr having an itchy and scratchy game being made on the show and it'd be a plot point in an episode. If the show wasn't as shameless about self promotion back then as it is now.

Seriously that mobile game homer got addicted to (and no not the Pokemon go parody) may was well have been Simpsons tapped out I'm sure they'd find some reason to have it exist on the show
