I don't know if they already passed this particular line but (sorry for the poor quality but it was the only video i found of it) but Zombie Simpsons did it
https://youtube.com/watch?v=iYVa1OKx1XwYeah they have Skinner say Son of a Bitch, did they ever have a character outright swear?
There was a recent episode where they had Willie say "shite," though that makes sense given his character.

Ever see The Simpsons in the blue channel of RGB?

Homer looks like a gorilla - like in that King Kong parody.

(yellow is red and green - no blue - so black in blue channel)

Red becomes the dominant color from Season 18 onward.

Season 18 was just before the movie in 2007, so that honestly syncs up perfectly with my theory that the actual start of Zombie Simpsons began close to that time instead of Season 9 or Season 11 like people often claim.

Really, I think the hate that Season 9-12 gets is all down to a handful of weak episodes (Kill the Alligator and Run, Hello Gutter Hello Fadder, Sunday Cruddy Sunday), people not fully getting the joke on the more meta episodes (The Principal and the Pauper, Saddlesore Galactica) or just sperging out over specific scenes in otherwise good or decent episodes (the panda rape in Homer vs. Dignity) plus the autistic ramblings of the Usenet spergs at SNPP at the time being taken as gospel truth.

Matter of fact, those autistic rants from the SNPP Usenet crowd are why Al Jean refuses to step down as the showrunner and gets adamantly angry at any suggestion of the show declining in quality. If anything, they just sped up the rise of Zombie Simpsons.

Anyone with a brain can tell you The Simpsons hasn't been good in at least a decade, and that's under the most charitable of definitions and that running a show for 30 years without severely jumping the shark is damn near impossible.

Yet in spite of all this, Al Jean is not only insistent about being showrunner until either he or the show dies, but he's still dead convinced that anyone who complains about the show's decline in quality in any way is just some Comic Book Guy-tier basement-dwelling neckbeard strawman.

Al Jean didn't cause Zombie Simpsons, at least not by himself, but he did exacerbate it in a lot of ways

And one of the episodes of that season "The boys of bummer" menaged to outdone "Principal and the Pauper" as Simpsons worst episode ever and even worse then season 19 episode "That' 90s Show".

There's actually a case to be made there since Season 1 feels so different compared to all the other seasons, including the Golden Age seasons.

Some people consider the Golden Age to begin with Season 2 instead of Season 1, so who knows?
S1+S2 are woefully underrated. Some of the comfiest episodes like Bart the General and Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? come from that period.

The fact that "The Principal and the Pauper" (s09e02) isn't the worst episode of that season blows my mind (tbf the episode that "beat" it is a clip show). Also nice to see "Lisa Goes Gaga" (s23e22) getting the hate it deserves.

I still maintain Lisa Goes Gaga is currently the worst episode of the series.

Not to mention during season 9-12 or so Al Jean had a strange idea of what he thought the simpsons should be. By his own admissions he made the show more like a zany cartoon "so his daughter would enjoy it," but at the same time he was under pressure from Fox to add in more crude crass humor to compete with the likes of South Park and family guy.

I liked that episode, actually.

For me, DA WORST is Season 28's Friends and Family, a boring episode with no redeeming factors and a last-minute marriage crisis plot which makes Marge, surprisingly, look like a big bitch.

If you look at old usenet archives there were plenty of posters saying it went to shit after season 1 because 2 was a little sillier and 3 is about where it solidified into what people remember it as now. Complete disavowal/hatred of the show and they even seemed personally insulted by the shift. It's especially weird considering what it takes to push someone to that about any show nowadays. Comic Book Guy's "worst episode ever" line comes from those posts, iirc it's a direct quote but it might just be a general reference to how people like him reacted to seasons 2 and 3.

Which season has the episode where Bart gets emancipated and becomes friends with Tony Hawk, Johnny Knoxville, and Blink 182? That's the episode where I thought the celebrity cameos and shitty writing was getting out of hand and stopped watching.

That was season 14. And I fucking hated that episode because it was the first time I remember seeing them more or less sucking a celebrity's dick.
