As someone who gave up on this show a long time ago I think you guys are making too big a deal out of this. The Squad cartoon was MUCH worse than this. This feels more like a failed attempt at a joke than anything else.

Because Marge has a history of coming out from behind the curtains to be a moral busy body (In the first few THoH's at least, I don't know if she's done it recently.)
The funny part is, back then we as the audience were meant to laugh at her shit take that "Tree House of Horror is too scary".
