Reason i liked the simpsons was because i never saw the show, i played this video game back then when i was a kid on Super Nintendo, which was really fun, i borrowed this game and played it so many times. I had no idea what the show was about (since i wasnt exposed to it by then), other than it looked cool. Thats one good thing Simpsons have, the design is good. But the show is really bad, because they never tries anything, they always play it safe

Basically.. this is legit better than the show XD

Atleast South Park is legit good series. Creative and fun. Family Guy i would say is more.. its guilty pleasure. But South Park is just best in everyway

You know, there is enough Simpsons material that it is actually possible to deepfake new episodes that are actually of good quality.

Dark Simpsons is a good example of using the wealth of Simpsons material to make entirely new videos, but it's also edgy in the good kind of way, which is pretty much the antithesis of the woke blandness of current era Disney and their subsidiary IP's.

It's sad when some random guy on YouTube can probably make a better deepfake Simpsons using nothing but old footage and common editing software than the actual IP holders with a massive budget and access to advanced deepfake AI's

Honestly, I wish The Simpsons comics could make a proper comeback.

Hell, as autistic as this might sound, I'd welcome some Simpsons novelizations. If I were Disney, I'd have an open license program where fans can write their own comics and books and publish them for sale online, with Disney getting a cut of the sales.

Several companies have an "official" fanfiction program with Amazon Kindle for some of their IP's, and you also have RPG companies like Wizards of the Coast and White Wolf having similar programs for fan-made game supplements and modules.

With something as beloved as The Simpsons, I don't see why they couldn't do that for comics and books, while the "official" canon stuff would still be the TV show and movies, most of the money is made off merch and nostalgic throwbacks to the pre-movie seasons.

I'd pay for Otto's comic idea, Busman. A bus driver by day, but at night he fights vampires in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

In case you missed it, you can watch the older episodes in their original aspect ratio on Disney+ now. You have to go to a sub menu on the show’s page, but it’s finally available.

I'll be honest, I'd love to see more Simpsons video games, preferably with the high quality of Hit & Run as opposed to the cheapo cash-ins like Simpsons Skateboarding.

However, if I was in charge of a new AAA Simpsons game, I'd touch up on the wider "lore" of The Simpsons.

You could do a Treehouse of Horror game that's done in a survival horror style, or something like a WWII FPS parody based on the Flying Hellfish where you play as a young Abe Simpson.

Hell, I'd even have a framing device of Granpda telling war stories, so you could start out as a straight-up Medal of Honor style FPS but as it goes along, it becomes a zany Wolfenstein 3D-esque game with zombies, mutants, Nazi super-science, and gathering treasure and relics to add in the Hellfish Bonanza, with the implication being the later levels are so bugfuck insane because Grandpa is senile and rambling on with his war stories that don't go anywhere.

Another idea could be a stealth game in the style of Metal Gear Solid 3 with Seymour Skinner in 'Nam or you could do a Jebediah Springfield game that's sort of like the Red Dead Redemption to Simpsons Hit & Run's Grand Theft Auto.

Hell, Simpsons or not, this is a fucking great idea for an FPS.

southpark cytube is fucking it up and just repeating the same ep or few, so I check on the simpsons channel
it's literally an episode about curling
edit for even more horror
there's been a couple of parts I've chuckled at, including Lisa's addiction to olympic pins and especially what seems to have been a visual reference to Jack Frost aka Морозко / Morozko

Oh hey I actually remember that episode. Skinner's on their curling team and it was revealed that Agnes was an Olympic pole vaulter but she was pregnant with Seymour, and his kick caused her to screw up. Also I recall Canadian versions of Milhouse and Nelson, with the Canuck Nelson going, "Hoo hoo!"

I liked it when I watched it and didn't know better. If I were to see it now I'd probably think it was mediocre.

yeah the Canadian equivalent of characters was worth a giggle or two

it's 11 o'clock,
do you know where your children are?
I told you last night, no! Where is Bart anyway? His dinner is getting all cold and eaten.

Recently re watched that episode and noticed something I hadn't picked up before, that the mailbox Homer his when fleeing the Maison Derriere remains knocked over the rest of the episode.

Speaking of future, how was that Futurama-Simpsons crossover?

I'm guessing bad because Zombie Simpsons.
