it's a trite point in 2020 but that clip with the 'Squad' is just nauseating, the idea that a show as (formerly) subversive as the simpsons would cheerlead for any politician is just sad.
well, kowtowing to one pajeet's tantrum is pretty sad as well but I'm used to being disappointed by how far the show has fallen at this point. That terrible Ke$ha intro was what, 10 years ago now?

Season 11 would have been the perfect end point, the season itself is pretty weak but Behind the Laughter would have made a perfect last episode. Hell, some of the 'wacky plotlines' in the song at the end are not as bad as actual plotlines from the later seasons
Most of those “wacky subplots” have already had actual episodes. Even the Robot Marge one in an episode that was NOT a Treehouse of Horror.

So they achieved they goal of having a small business Indian owner character removed, does this make the show less diverse as well as removing a character that inspires immigrants. /sneed

But seriously I'm in the same page here with the other farmers here, who the fuck watches the Simpsons. Anyone got like a demographics chart or ratings chart about this.

I like Hank Azaria, he always makes me laugh.

ETA: Except for the Simpsons

Spineless cowards, this isn't going to quell the dumbasses that wanted Apu gone. All this did was make the sharks smell blood.

Just watch, other "problematic" characters like Bumblebee Man and Smithers are going to be next on their chopping block.

The funniest thing about this is Hari not wanting Apu removed despite making a big stink about the character.
I'm absolutely positive he was part of some kind of socjus ratking (they always are) and angling to get some untalented hacks from the cabal inserted as diversity consultants, writers, and VA. Fox probably saw it, too.

Fat Tony and his goons are negative stereotypes of my heritage and I want them gone tbh.

When will they get that stereotype Bumblebee Man off the air and away from the laughs of gringos who don't understand the seriousness of the Hispanic culture?

What's stupid about this is people used to get angry over "offensive" stereotypes, not just a stereotype period, but one that actively portrayed someone in a negative light.

Here's what people have forgotten, take a deep breath and repeat after me, a stereotype in of itself is not an inherently offensive thing.

There's millions of stereotypes, the nerds on Big Bang Theory were stereotypes, did anyone take great offense at that? It all just depends on the details, yes Apu may be a stereotype, but he was never a character one was supposed to hate, in fact audiences grew to really like him.

SJWs lack all sense of nuance and perspective.

If cancel culture can only get one character of a played-out show cancelled then it isn’t very powerful. That’s like trying to kill someone on life-support and somehow only managing to take out single finger.
I think everyone has a episode that was so bad it made them stop watching.
