I'd laugh if they got a new voice for Apu and it was the guy who plays Raj in The Big Bang Theory.

they'll probably replace Apu with another non-white character, and much like that episode where Bart starts hanging out with that muslim family, this new character will be absolutely perfect in every way because of virtue signalling, severely contrasting with the rest of the characters in the entire show and sticking out like a sore thumb.

I mean, the only reason Marge still sounds like a dying cancer patient is because Kavner makes a boatload of money for it. And I doubt anyone gives a shit about the show's quality anymore. So I doubt it's out of wokeness and more "Hari's just giving us an excuse to care less."

I'm surprised Hari just doesn't say "Fire Hank" given how most of the male PoCs are voiced by him as it is.
 
I member when I was a lil one watching the Simpson's while I was eating and Apu being one of the most grounded and sensible character on the show. He had a good single life running his store, he was just a C.S grad man with a bomb-ass store and a nice car. At the time he got married and had 8 kids, he was still the sane character on this wacky town.
Fuck that pajeet, Apu was one of the most grounded characters in this show.
Right now our dubs are the same and it will be stupid to replace his voice actor because we know that an actor does not a character make and everyone loves Apu.
Fuck you Pajeet, thanks for destroying one of the better Simpson's character.
 
If Hank is doing this voluntarily, then he's doing it because he just wants the SJWs to leave him alone. Boomers often think that appeasing SJWs will end their harassment.

Seriously. I've been watching The Simpsons since the second season or so, and in almost two decades I never heard anyone bitching about Apu. He was usually cited as one of everyone's favorite secondary characters.

Where does it end, though? We gonna get rid of Smithers and Patty if a few fags and dykes complain? Is Barney triggering to alcoholics? Comic Book Guy lusted after Xena and Captain Janeway, clearly he represents neckbeard misogynists!

I hate Current Year...

They had a character like that, it's just that he's called "Apu" and he's a Hindu, not a Muslim.

Even if I know damn well that killing it will just make a disney "reboot series" a few years down the line inevitable, it needs to be put in the ground and fast. Fucking family guy has more right to exist than this horseshit. Fucking bigmouth contributes more to humanity than modern day simpsons.
 
it's a trite point in 2020 but that clip with the 'Squad' is just nauseating, the idea that a show as (formerly) subversive as the simpsons would cheerlead for any politician is just sad.
well, kowtowing to one pajeet's tantrum is pretty sad as well but I'm used to being disappointed by how far the show has fallen at this point. That terrible Ke$ha intro was what, 10 years ago now?

Season 11 would have been the perfect end point, the season itself is pretty weak but Behind the Laughter would have made a perfect last episode. Hell, some of the 'wacky plotlines' in the song at the end are not as bad as actual plotlines from the later seasons

Bumblebee man is a straight send up of a Mexican kid show superhero and one of the most popular simpsons characters south of the border. Only the 3rd gen born in a suburb """"latinx"""" would get mad over it.
