And she was white at first, so racebending is in effect!

Status Quo. Because the writers are either incapable of making permanent changes or don't want to.I wonder why she fell off the face of the Earth. Surely there are several potential plots where Lisa can have a friend that doesn't either hate her or vanish by the next episode.

Remember when Lisa wasn’t always infallible?

To be fair that episode while shit ended with Lisa realizing friendship was more valuable than being right all the time and her deciding to preserve their friendship despite the other girl being a conservative. If the episode was made today Lisa would call her a Nazi and deplatform her.
The thing is Lisa already had a fucking friend.
Janey.
They already worked too much in Havard.
This and I won't be surprised if they had hired the manatees who search for Family Guy ideas as well.

That was when leftists were running out of things to complain about, but they hadn't yet invented a whole new set of problems to play the victim over. Leftists act like the world is a misogynist shithole and is out to oppress women... this scene pretty much sums up modern feminism VS the mindset of average people.
When that episode aired, I thought things were getting better. It had a good message that a lot of people could learn from. Today things are so much worse than anyone could ever imagine.
That bothered me even back in that episode where the Simpsons stayed in the Flanders' beach house. Lisa is all mopey because she doesn't have friends.... what about Janey and all those other girls she would hang out with?

I want to believe the designs are meant to be satirical, but I know that's an empty hope. Here it is, boys. The first image of the "woke" Simpsons episode this week:

Bart has that face of utter shame.
IF this was classic Simpsons, Bart would be pranking these girls instead of following them. Here it is, boys. The first image of the "woke" Simpsons episode this week:

In the early episodes didn't Lisa hang out with the twins Terri and Gerri or whatever? I also seem to remember a red headed girl every once in a while.
I'm pretty sure Lisa was friends with Terri and Sherri in the earlier seasons but they're not really friends in the modern seasons (like season 20ish onwards or so).
I miss Laura Powers.
I miss Jessica Lovejoy.
I miss the old writers.
