Not a big one, but I did notice it became a little bit more fluid and cartoonish compared to the rest of the episode.Did anyone else notice a change in animation for the Split segment?

I haven't watched the Simpsons in years, caught the credits of tonight's episode in front of Bob's Burgers. It was a Treehouse of Horror episode so the names were changed or added spooky elements like "Bat Groening". A few choice ones were stuff like "Scarier than Kavanaugh" and "The Electoral College". My eyes nearly fell out my head I rolled them so hard. Not surprising but still, TDS strikes again.

They're okay but have the same problem as most licensed comics where they were clearly written by up-jumped fan boys. Basically a sort of precurser to Zombie Simpsons. Only good thing I can really say about them is they kept Troy McClure in.Any opinions on the simpsoSi comic s that have been around since the 90's? The ones by Bongo?
Only surprised they've just stopped doing them now. They're okay but have the same problem as most licensed comics where they were clearly written by up-jumped fan boys. Basically a sort of precurser to Zombie Simpsons. Only good thing I can really say about them is they kept Troy McClure in.
Hit and miss. @Replicant Sasquatch stated they're clearly written by fanboys, and I'm inclined to agree.Any opinions on the simpsoSi comic s that have been around since the 90's? The ones by Bongo?
Its hard to believe there was a time in my life where I spent about 7 hours a week watching The Simpsons, and that was before the show was out on DVD and before streaming services.
I'd watch the new episode on Sunday, and then watch an hour a day throughout the week through syndication.
Now? I can't even imagine myself bothering with any of the newer episodes, even Treehouse of Horror, which used to be an annual event for me.
Like anything else that has been on the air forever, it got old and wore out its act. I can still revisit the old episodes and laugh to my heart's content, but somebody needs to take Old Yeller out back and put it down because this is just getting sad.
BTW: Bob's Burgers in 2018 >>>> Simpsons and Family Guy in 2018 combined! And that's been the case for a while now.
Also Bob's Burgers is awesome, from the pilot to the latest episode.
Certainly makes the older ones better by comparison. The "new" treehouse of horros episodes are unfunny garbage. I recently watched the older one where Homer travelled back trough time with a toaster. This was brilliant.
Interesting you feel that way about it. I recall both episodes and wasn't sure when the "Shark Jumping" happened, but I wouldn't be surprised if it started with the '98 ToH episode. Was "Treehouse of Horrors IX" from 1998 the one where the shark at least started to get in the pool so that it could be jumped over?
I was watching it on Much on Monday evening and that Jerry Springer segment felt like the first time they had to cram in something "current" that wasn't all that amusing when it was new. I know, two "Treehouse of Horrors" earlier, they had Kang and Kodos replace Bill Clinton and Bob Dole, but that one hasn't aged as badly because it is a) funny and b) still relevant once every four years even if the names of the Republican and Democrat Presidential candidates change.
Well now Apu is going to be dead forever and you get no representation beyond the guy from Big Bang Theory
Seriously, giving him a final episode would've been nice at least. This is just low.Allegedly Apu is now just going to be retired entirely. Not even getting a farewell episode they'll just never recognize him again.

Crock of shit, really. This is hilarious to me, it's so similar to "Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie." Especially with these hacky Indian writers wanting to turn Apu into their own little Self Insert who is a super successful businessman with a 12 inch dick. Well now Apu is going to be dead forever and you get no representation beyond the guy from Big Bang Theory. Thank you come again.
Makes you wonder who much money got thrown at him to get him to go ahead here? Why cave to sjws? It's not like the Simpsons is a new or emerging brand that can be hurt by accusations of "muh racism" It's far too big and too established to fail despite autistic screeching.
Also Groening is massive cuck for caving.
So, who they going to get to run the Kwik-E-Mart? Or is that also going to stop getting acknowledged?
