Incredible screenshot, reminds me of a GoAnimate asset library or something.
Why do they have Mother Gothel in there? She forced Rapunzel to stay in a tower for 18 years and mostly only loved her for her hair. I've seen fans debate wither Gothel really did love her or not. She chained her up and was about to drag Rapunzel to some unknown place while Eugene dies from his wounds. I didn't think she's worthy of being in there.

when I saw this attached to some SIMPSONS SIDE CHARACTER DIES article I honestly thought this was Reverend Lovejoy after chemotherapy, which would've been an infinitely more interesting choice than this literal who

I guess I feel pretty nerdy knowing exactly who Larry the Barfly is (still don't care that zombie Simpsons killed him off). Must be because I read all those great old Simpsons guide books.

(Although I stopped after the the third one.)

Here, I cracked open my well-worn copy and took a pic like a mobile fag-

"Background character" is a better descriptor than "side character."

If you watched the Simpsons a lot its clear that its one of the background dudes in Moe's tavern. I still don't remember the names of all of Bart's classmates but I can at least recognize them.

I love how old Simpsons would often just introduce random, one joke characters like this and then just leave it at that.
These days that guy would be given a name, a backstory and have an entire episode devoted to him where Lisa tries to save his marriage or something.

Looks like Pooh's Adventures

Also saw the short, and it was random shit happening for the sake of Disney cameos. Marge's Voice Actor sounds really dead inside, and the only thing close to entertaining was Seth Macfarlane's cameo.

This....this is beyond shameless...I'm gonna say it. Hannah barbera in the 70s had more dignity than this. At keast they kinda had the excuse to make cartoons based on whatever sitcom or property they could because they barley managed to stay afloat as a studio in the dark age of animation. This?....if someone told ai to make the most soulless, shamless, blatantly corporate story using copyrighted coprate owned its and to throw in a few token gestures of "satire." To try and look like you're still the cool edgy cartoon that holds a mirror of ugly truth up to society and companies like Disney....I think the ai would come up something nowhere near as shamless, soulless, money and audience attention whoring than this special.

I know it's been said before but to all the zoomers and late stage millienals using this site who only know the show fron its late silver early zombie age?

As hard as it is to believe the simpsons used to as I said, hold a mirror up to this kinda corporate media whoring and show it the ugly truth. Itchy and scratchy land, the day the violence died, hell even lackluster episodes like husbands and knives did a better job at satirizing our culture than this garbage ever did.

I mean, do we really want an episode in which a dying Reverend Lovejoy gives us a Very Simpsons Special Episode on Death, Life, Suffering, Mortality and Religion?

Diatribe of a Mad Housewife is an episode I have a deep seated hatred towards, and I cannot believe it first aired in 2004! I would have located this episode on the early 2010s if you had asked me, considering its quality.
It says a lot that I looked up the synopsis and I still don't remember this episode at all.
