That actually would be something the Simpsons memepost crowd would come up with. This whole "Graggle Simpson" bullshit reeks of subtle astroturfing to me. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in this either.

It feels like Disney saw the popularity of Simpsons shitpost memes and are trying to force their own meme as part of some retarded marketing strategy/ARG and dumb Zoomers on social media fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

Given the whole point of Roy's existence is a swipe at that trope, it'd be a lot funnier and more in line with what I'd expect from an actual Simpsons meme.

That could be the case, since part of this whole Graggle Simpson thing is "Disney is trying to erase Graggle guys!!!".

Ironically his dated attitude and mannerisms are in hindsight kinda charming...like looking at yearbook photos from the 80s when everyone had ridiculous huge hair and perms on dudes.


But as for gargle simpson it VAUGLEY feels like someone took or looked at those messed up crowd shots from the rushed music video for do the bartman (foot on head guy anyone?) and thought hello new forced meme...at best. Hell it probably could have worked if Gargle WAS one of those distorted background characters. At least than it would tie in to the actual show's histor.y
 
Graggle Simpson is actually that 3 eyed fish featured in old Simpsons episodes all grown up. The toxic waste from Mr Burns' plant gave him the power to bend reality.

The "graggle simpson" situation really sucks. his name isn't graggle but people have been calling him that afterthe normies got ahold of him and started badly greenscreening him into scenes. Why is homer having a funny little goblin friend such a strange concept to them that they need to badly greenscreen him in everywhere instead of just appreciating him for who he is?
 
A lot of people stopped watching the Simpsons when it stopped being funny, and others stopped watching after it was discovered that Groening's a pedo. Me? I stopped watching when they killed off Graggle in season 17.

Often when I see criticsm of Lisa as a character, the complaints are usually that she is a feminist lefty (she, like the show, has always been, just watch Lisa vs. Malibu stacy), that she is obnoxious and self righteous and finally that her plots often has her never getting what she wants and such but my problem is basically this: https://deadhomersociety.wordpress.com/2015/01/16/how-lisa-simpson-became-her-own-substitute/

In recent seasons she has basically become a more sophisicated liberal version of Marge. She is so boring and over her age. Homer on the otherhand is basically a manchild. It wouldn't suprise me if a reboot would have Homer be a child and Bart's brother while Lisa is an adult married to Marge.

I think the real problem with Zombie Simpsons is the lack of balance. Yes make Lisa intellegant but also have her laugh at Itchy and scratchy with Bart, childishly obsess over Malibu stacey and mess around like a child would.

I think in addition to what you've mentioned, a major difference between original Lisa and "Zombie Simpsons" Lisa is that in older episodes, the writers were willing to take the piss out of Lisa's self-righteousness and such. While as in Zombie Simpsons, the writers seem to be using Lisa as more of a mouthpiece for their own opinions, and as such aren't as willing to make jokes at her expense.
