I'm a month late in replying but I saw that episode and it was very... umm... "precious" (Bleeding Gums Murphy's deaf son having never heard his father's music until he got hearing implants) and of course Bleeding Gums himself still appears as a "ghost" to Lisa.

Of course, as we all remember, Bleeding Gums Murphy died in 1995 but they should have retired even his ghost from appearing on the show as soon as his original voice actor, Ron Taylor, died in 2002.

Hating the rich is perfectly fine but Modern Simpsons should be the last show that does it since not only is it owned by Disney (one of the evilest corporations on the planet), but the entire show ever since Al Jean ran it became the show that worships the very ground celebrities walk on every week.

Has there ever been a popular show that commented on the quirks of the "poor" and why they struggle because of them rather than making it out to be rich people's fault? Not saying the latter doesnt happen, but ive known many people in the shitter i wish could get some things drilled in their head

Kind of. There was a popular U.K. slapstick comedy show from the early 90's called Bottom, about a duo of unemployed incels (yes, literal incels) living together in a shitty flat in London. The episodes circle around them scheming to get money or laid, often with them getting seriously injured in the process. They're established as both being incompetent fuckups with low-intelligence, poor hygiene, gullibility, and no charisma. Neither of them are presented as likable nor good people -- it's almost like a live-action adult British Beavis & Butthead. One is an alcoholic who randomly pulls of pint glasses of beer from his jacket, and the other is a desperate coomer who frequently brings up how often he masturbates. It's not social commentary on the poor, it's basically just about a group of losers doing dumb shit and getting their asses kicked in the process.

Probably the best episode is about them counterfeiting money so they can spend it at a local pub, but the bartender realizes its fake so he extorts them and causes them to try to obtain real money by cheating at bar trivia. There's also an episode about them stealing a wooden leg from a wounded veteran so they can sell it at a pawn shop and use it to bet on a horse race.

Bob's Burgers? The Belchers are generally portrayed as actually trying but still struggling because it's tough being working class.

Honestly that episode is great proof that the Simpsons rants on social issues are shallow and hollow. That entire episode was literally just everyone praising how cool Elon Musk is and acting like he’s the greatest gift to mankind. We even had characters like Lisa worshipping Musk at every second.

Well I’d say Squid Game but that is like far removed from the realm the Simpsons is in since it has people being broke as shit either due to the rich but many of them are broke due to their own actions (like doing a lot of white collar crime or being a gambling addict for example)
