I kind of liked how Burning Man episode implied he just treats all the principals he is in charge of like that.
Yeah, I know it contradicts earlier claims of his that only Skinner has that sort of problems, but *handwave*

Yeah the Simpsons was a bit more nuanced back then, but the hacks who run it just make it a soapbox. Like that wouldn't be an issue if it was at least funny but Nu-Simpsons is mostly unfunny garbage that is more boring or grating to watch

In episode 2F09, when Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like s xylophone, he strikes the same rib twice in succession, yet he produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we to believe, that this is some sort of a [...] magic xylophone or something? Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder.

A possibly nerdier and maybe funner thing is defending the nonsense with science rather than nitpicking.

(For example, making up that the smell-o-scope could work by converting a spectrometer reading to odor.)
