And it's funny because Hank's one of the younger actors on the show.

And honestly, I can't tell if it's because he's losing his grip on the voice, the voice direction, or him just not caring enough that's making Moe sound completely off in that short.

Well Kavner suffers from vocal chord polyps, so Marge's voice is not too far off from her natural one, the only voice she does that puts a strain on her was apparently Jacqueline Bouvier (Marge's mum) so that's why she hardly appears.

Well, Lisa's isn't. Only because that's Yeardley Smith's normal voice. Nancy Cartwright isn't too bad either (unless it's Nelson) and Harry Shearer just doesn't give a shit anymore.

As for Dan, nah I still think the voices he does sound OK.

Debatable with Krusty, since that does sound like he's dying at points, but the others are okay.

My bad, I was thinking of Harry Shearer (who voices Flanders and Smithers and Burns). I do think the passion just isn't there for Dan tho.
 
Since this is essentially a general Simpsons thread I thought I'd ask this:

What was your introduction to the show?

I was aware of the show when I was around 8 or so. I think it was the toy commercials where I first became aware. I even had a few of the Burger King dolls. But I never actually watched until I was around 10 and stumbled upon a Treehouse of Horror marathon on Fox. Me being a horror fan I absolutely loved it and after the first episode ended I begged for more and more episodes played on throughout the night. I think they ran the first 5-6 Treehouse of Horror episodes that night.

When I was really young we only had broadcast at first and that was what was on later in the evenings before I had to go to bed. My dad liked watching it with us and he jokingly referred to the Simpsons as our "role model family"

That 90's Show is pretty cringey and attempts to ret-con Marge and Homer's relationship as taking place during the 90's. It also goes for the usual lazy jokes you'd expect like Boy Bands, Grunge Rock, early internet, etc.

And there was another episode that went into Family Guy-levels of mean-spirited where Bart loses a softball game and the entire town hates him and wants him to commit suicide. The episode ends with Bart actually attempting suicide by jumping from a water tower, he ends up in a hospital and all is well at the end.
