They can try that, but the actors won't accept it. Like, Harry Shearer has called their bluff when they've tried that before. Shearer is open about being sick of the show and I suspect the others feel the same. They're clearly only doing it for the big paychecks at this point. And I don't blame them.

I don't think it really matters much how many voices the main six actors do. I think they have special contracts. Yeardley Smith only does one character but gets paid the same as the other five.

If they just have to hire a token, I hope they get Phil Lamarr from Futurama.

EDIT: Oh dear. Phil Lamarr said something stupid on Twitter. Contradicts everything he said just a few years ago.

It'll just be Kevin Michael Richardson. He's already essentially a regular at this point.
 
Just like the great grocery purge, society will be forced to be woke, even if it kills us...... doesn't matter if any racist actually USED things like syrup jugs or the fact Dr Hibbert wasn't voiced by an actual black man to justify his bigotry, the fact he MIGHT was enough...

Speaking of Futurama, I like how the Planet Express ship has "200% fuel efficiency", it "moves the universe around it", and it can go to the universe's edge (past Dogdoo 7) and back in a week.

I think any explanation misses the point that they didn't care about internal consistency and were specifically mocking the people who take sci-fi shows so seriously that they spend their life trying to justify the canonical tech of the fictional universe to prove it's some kind of social movement or visionary social commentary and not what it really is: a TV show telling a fun story to grow an audience they can sell stuff to......

Yep in the third movie where they had the simultaneous plot in the fantasy world. First movie was the best one just because the story was kinda clever and I enjoyed the joke where the POX executives were ground up into an all purpose powder to clean toilets and whatever disgusting use the gag required.

Yep, a great example was Buster Jones: he played Blaster in Transformers (who talked like a black radio DJ) and Winston in the Real Ghostbusters.
 
Out of all the Simpsons voice cast, from Marge's utterly disinterested tone, to the deleting of all the Simpsons minority characters for "rassizm", to whatever the fuck was the Maude Flanders debacle, it seems like the person to come out of this cleanest is Hutz, and that's because his voice actor's wife offed him before they could ruin his character.

It's depressing.

Certainly would. The point of that was to show how out-of-touch Krusty was to what was humor now.
 
That 90s show may be the worst of the zombie era (just watch early 90s Simpsons episodes) but at least it gave negative xp a good song to cover
