What's your favorite Homer daydream?

I like "Land of Chocolate." Also what he thought "ballet" was.
 
I would have had no problem (at least in theory) if Simpsons went on for as long as it did now, so long as we could've had everyone actually age up and go through permanent character growth as the series went on.

I really would've loved to see 30+ Bart and Lisa, Homer/Marge dealing with aging and retirememnt options and more story lines centred on Maggie as she grew up while Lisa/Bart went their own ways.

I like that the next thing he says is where would the next idea come from, pointing to Marge and she goes "How about... Ghost Mutt!"

That's probably the only way the show could have stayed consistently good.

Possibly, but even then, I'd wager that Al Jean and the newer generations of writers would still find a way to fuck it up.

Al Jean is the guy who refuses to step down as show runner, despite the vast majority of his tenure as the main guy in charge coinciding with Zombie Simpsons.

It doesn't help that he absolutely refuses to listen to any criticism of the show and thinks anyone who says the show is in steep decline is some Comic Book Guy-tier basement dweller.

If the show's timeline moved forward every five or ten seasons it could have remained good, provided that Al Jean did not become the sole show runner or if he did, he stepped down after a few years instead of hanging on for the better part of two decades.

Even then, I'm sure some woke Millennial writers would ruin the show in the more recent seasons anyway.

The 2010's are a dark age for pop culture and entertainment in general. barring a few exceptions like Breaking Bad that premiered in the late 2000's or very early 2010's.

Honestly, the only 2010's TV phenomenons that I think will stand the test of time are Breaking Bad, some of the earlier Netflix originals, and maybe Game of Thrones.

Honestly you're right.

I struggle to think of any shows this decade that one could actually consider something one would watch in another decade. The only other show I can think of Key and Peele, mostly for being this decade's Chapelle's Show and even that came in and went by the beginning of the downfall of media from 2012-2015.
 
Horror movies?

But yeah, anything that's a sequel, remake, reboot...Won't be adored in 10 years, either by mediocrity of the product (The Hobbit) or wokeness (Ghostbusters, the Disney remakes).

Lisa's wedding was a classic episode.

On the other hand, if they try to predict a President "Queen Hillary" Clinton or even Elizabeth "Faucahontas" Warren as shown when Lisa was president. Imagine how the staff would react if the first female president is Republican.

And there's some Simpsons predictions who hadn't come true yet.
