Not crazy about that pick. Certainly not the best matchup but also not the worst. I would have chosen any NFC West matchup that doesn't include the Cardinals
Seahawks are opening the season and the Rams and 49ers are in Australia the next day, so I'm afraid that option was never on the table for SNF

Josh Allen is praying that Vrabel knocked up that Eye-talian Hoo-ore. He needs the AFC East to be a cake walk and possibly get Stefan Diggs to hold his hand.

I’m honestly betting something is gonna come out that’ll be too bad to ignore. The coverage for this shit is so kids gloves. Russini said she named her son after her brother. Unless he’s dead or an embarrassment no one fucking does that.

Something else is probably going to drop. We have a six year gap in between pictures. Ain't no way it was kept completely under wraps. Someone has more dirt. It's a matter of if they're small enough to get bought out and kept quiet.

Gotdam, the Cardinals' schedule is brutal for a 4th-place team.

That's what? Maybe 3 wins? Maybe?

4 or 5?

The dolphins have the second hardest schedule apparently. Kinda believe it with ALL THE PLAYERS THEY HAD TO KICK TO THE CURVE VIA CUTS AND FREE AGENCY. Still calling it right now. Bobby Slowik will be fired by Week 10-12.

Begun, the tank bowl has.

On a similar note, where will Bowles drop the ball for the Bucs?

I'd say either the Rams or Bears is when shit goes downhill.

Interesting, he's directly going after the compensatory picks for developing nonwhite, nonmale coaching talent, and the league's (now sheepishly rolled back) mandate that every team must have at least one nonwhite, nonmale offensive assistant on staff.
I don't think there's really a reverse discrimination problem in the NFL, per se (the Rooney Rule itself is such a meme that there are whole-ass categories of Rooney Rule coaches who only get head coaching interviews but never get hired, Eric Bienemy being the most notorious example in recent history), but the inevitable shitstorm if the NFL's internal comms regarding the program leak will be entertaining.

I laughed every time Reddit would wonder why Bieniemy wasn't getting hired. "Oh man maybe he's just bad at interviewing" no bud he's probably in GM's phones under the name Rooney Rule Guy.

I do think comp picks for having minority staff poached is pretty dumb though. Not because it influences hiring decisions but because good teams are the only ones having their staff raided. The 49ers were swimming in comp picks for a while. It's giving free shit to teams that are already successful.

The compensatory picks were a big part of how they survived trading up for Lance in a way other teams couldn't - Purdy himself was a compensatory pick, they got a few solid starters out of them in the draft in that time like Hufanga, and trading around comp picks let them move up higher on day 2+3 to make up for the sacrificed 1st rounders.
