Eberflus won't lose his job despite being a dead man walking because Virginia McCaskey is too classy of a lady to fire someone in season, or something retarded like that
Coaching contracts are, afiak, fully guaranteed 99% of the time and there is nothing legacy owners (where the team is their whole income stream) are more allergic to doing than paying someone to sit on the couch. It's why the Bears keep getting stuck in this cycle where they pair a highly-drafted rookie QB with an obvious lame duck head coach, sabotage his development, and then make him learn a whole new offense (with a coach who may think he's ill-suited for the offense he wants to run), QB doesn't develop, have to draft a new one, etc, etc, etc.
EDIT: I finally figured out who Jason Garrett sounds like to me. He doesn't sound like Mel Kiper, he sounds like that one dude on the Pat McAfee show's impression of Mel Kiper
It's truly impressive the Bears seem to have never considered finding a head coach that actually likes the QB drafted in the previous season. The last couple would almost have to have said "I'm not sure about that guy" in the interview, which most would consider a red flag.

Remember that this team is currently run by Virginia's 2nd choice to run the team (first son already died on her), and his job before that was managing their ticketing office, because counting good is pretty much all he could be counted on.
What he is not, and will never be, good at is properly evaluating coaching talent, and that is why Chicago's best outcome is the McKaskey brood squabbles over who gets to actually call shots once the old bat finally, finally dies, and they're forced to sell the team, Broncos-style.
And I dont mean to be "that guy" but there were at least half a dozen missed holding calls several of which where it looked like the Bears lineman had the pass rusher in a fucking head lock. They didnt want the Lions to run away with it like they have been the past few weeks, the NFL wanted a competitive game. Either that or it was my dad jinxing us by saying the bullshit calls have stopped since we started gettind good.
That was something where it’s obvious on plays where Williams is a running QB and gets like 20 yards when you see an offensive lineman drags a defender to the ground. Or the edge rusher getting obviously held as Caleb throws a pass in a broken play for a first down.
The Lions have had this happen for the past 15 years. Shitty calls and officials having selective hearing about eligibility. I’m not surprised by it nor Chicago having a “if you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying” mentality like all Chicago faggots have.
Caleb Williams is being bitch-made and calling the Jack Campbell hit dirty despite it being an entirely preventable hit if Williams slides or goes OOB.

Fuck-face was trying to pull a Mahomes "I'm going out of bounds - ope! Just kidding!" play, only he was 3 yards off the sideline instead of 6 inches. He deserved that. Just be glad it didn't permanently ruin your shit.
Not yet. I know that Indians/native Americans are diverse in views and they often bicker among the various tribes/groups. I know some tribes are okay with mascot use especially if the get a cut of profits like the Seminoles and the college team if I remember right
Damn. I was going to ask if the Bears had run out of Hopium that was overflowing in the off season but with Eberflus fired, they might have refilled their tanks

The whole coaching situation in the NFL is absurd. I forget if it was last season or the season before, but Goodell sent NFL owners a letter highlighting that owners were collectively paying $870M to coaches who were no longer on staff for the team who gave them the contract. All the gambling and streaming money has allowed owners to lose their minds with coaches. Some of them are losing their minds with who they hire too.
Thinking of Urban Meyer's NFL tenure will never not make me laugh.
Update: You have got to be fucking kidding me. I don't care that I'm double posting.
Another Chiefs game, another victory that wouldn't have happened if not for some bizarre circumstance. They're really going to meme their way into winning it all again in the stupidest way possible.
