I swear if Minnesota manages to fumble this after fucking annihilating the Packers in the first half...
There's letting your offense take the foot off the gas after running up the score and then there's THIS
We shit the bed the second Flores switched to cover two, giving up first downs like hot cakes.
I dont't even understand the change up, what we were doing in the first half was working wonders. When will defensive minds realize that prevent defenses never fucking work?
It's the defensive version of running it down their throat - preserves a lead by running out the clock and keeping the side of the ball that needs to start putting up points on the field to the point of exhaustion.
The problem is less that coaches switch to it too early and more that OCs have figured out how to dissect a prevent defense and this strategy simply no longer works. But it sure did in the 80's-2000's.
EDIT: Apropos of nothing the Cardinals laid a fucking egg, even with as good as Jayden Daniels looks that win was more on Arizona than the Commanders.
I thought Gannon's whole thing was defense? Why did the Cards accomplish jack shit outside of stopping a few late game drives?
>Losing to the Bo Nix Broncos
I don't want to hear shit about how good post-Achilles tear Aaron Rodgers is from anybody.
EDIT: lol @ Rodgers putting on the towel of shame after that missed field goal

Well I mean it's not that hard to figure out. Just run curls/comebacks. It really shouldn't be switched to unless an in-bounds tackle would run the clock out. Otherwise you're just giving the offense free yards.

Exactly, the second we switch to this defensive style all of the things that made our defense extremely effective immediately disappears. The difference was night and day and the Vikings nearly gave the Packers their greatest comeback game in history because of it.
Horrible referees the entire game too. KOC had to challenge 'complete' passes multiple times, and it was called back incomplete every time. One of GB's ints was complete bullshit that should have been called back, and the 4th and 1 at the redzone for the Vikings final run was also bullshit that should have gave us the first down. You could see in real time he was in for the renewal of downs, you didn't even have to see a slow-mo replay. Either way I hope KOC and Flores go back to the drawing board on this defensive switch up, hopefully it was a wake up call.

Not only is it free yards, but you're particularly giving away free yards in the 20-25 yard range. Green Bay saw through this and immediately marched down the field with huge gains multiple times.
I think Bills Ravens should be a good game. I'm posting this beforehand so I can verify that I'm nearly always wrong on all my football predictions this week. So blame me if the game is bad
I'm at a point where I can't even get mad. Every loss or close game is one step closer to getting rid if Sirriani and getting back on track. If that means Baker Mayfield is the Eagle's father, so be it.
At least we didn't get blown out.... But fuck that was a hard game to watch all those injuries and had it on the goal line and just couldn't punch it in for 6.
