  • Christian McCaffrey is done for the season after being put on the IR with more ankle problems
  • Ty Conklin is done for the season after tearing his patella tendon
  • Dalvin Cook is going to be out for awhile with a dislocated shoulder and a torn labrum
Vikings seriously can't catch a break.
Tepper must be fuming at how bad the Panthers' season is going. Normally new HCs/GMs get a bit of a break, but I'm starting to worry about Rhule and Fitterer. Signing Cam for a farewell tour was a desperation move, and it'll completely blow up in their face without McCaffrey.

That lineman knew exactly what he was doing on that play with how he was tackling Cook. That sort of tackle was pretty much a horse collar.

Vikings can’t catch any breaks though. A dislocated shoulder is one thing, torn muscles another.

My dog gave up on last night's game and went to sleep in her crate sometime after Russ threw a 2nd incompletion in a row from trying to force the ball DK's way. That's gotta be a sign.

Anything short of firing Schneider, telling Pete he's an old fuck and needs to retire, poaching Kellen Moore and finding a GM whose draft sensibilities are less than a decade+ out of touch constitutes a failed offseason this year. We should be blowing everything up, and after the last few games I'm thinking more and more that includes selling off Russ for draft picks. He's had the same flaws under 3 OCs now, it's clear he's part of the problem.

The Saints at least have an excuse: their offense is wrecked to shit. What's the Cowboys' excuse? Sure they won 27-17 but a lot of those points came in the 4th quarter and they had their starters playing. They had 10 days to prepare so it's not like they just played Sunday and only had 4 days to rest. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out as I had them high up in the beginning of the season, but recently, they haven't impressed me like they did earlier and I don't know what to currently make of them. They have talent but it's become inconsistent

Not being able to pound the rock effectively. Zeke probably shouldn't have been playing with his hurt knee. Dak has been scared of running it himself ever since last year's injury. Most of Kellen Moore's run calls looked like they came from Jason Garrett's play sheet, which consists of running straight into a brick wall repeatedly. Offensive line hasn't been consistent with different guys going in and out each week. The O-line coach and his assistant were both out with covid. Also the Saints defense has allowed the least yards per carry in the league. The offense was stuck in one-dimension the whole game.

How do they have 10 days to prepare if the Cowboys were playing last week on Thanksgiving?

yeah, I miscounted the days from 7 to 10 as well as forgetting that points were scored throughout the quarters. Though I still stand by the Cowboys' looking bad recently. The Saints don't have most of their offense and had to play Taysom fucking Hill. A team as talented as Dallas shouldn't have kept the game as close as it is, especially with how dominant they were earlier in the season. Pollard should be the workhorse back and not Zeke. I still have them winning their division unless the Reskins can somehow make it interesting and they can win a playoff game depending on who it is

As has consistently been the case for the past 20 years, the Cowboys' offensive success rides entirely on what heroics their star talent can come up with to bail out poor coaching and even poorer playcalling. If said talent is playing hurt (Zeke) or scared (Dak), or is simply not on the field (Cooper) things end poorly for them.
