The Mueller Report
Well, it looks like we finally made it to the end of the line. To everyone who thought the Mueller report would drag on indefinitely: Take a sigh of relief. To everyone who thought the Mueller report would wind up resulting in impeachment proceedings: Sorry to disappoint, but that was never going to happen in the first place. In any event, we've made it to the end and somehow managed to avoid setting the country completely on fire, so that alone is worth a drink.

Seeing as how this is going to be THE most-spun political document since the fucking Clinton impeachment hearings, I'm not going to link to any articles about it. I don't care who has to say what about the Mueller report, be it FOX, MSNBC, CNN, or even smaller outlets like the Epoch Times. Everyone is going to spin this, so all I'm going to do is pore over the report and bring anything interesting to the fore, just like I did with the OIG Report on the Handling of the Clinton Email Investigation.

Yet again: The best advice I can offer is to read this yourself, but I don't expect everyone to do that because it's four-hundred fucking pages long. If you do not see a direct link to the information someone is quoting from this report so you can read the quote yourself, I'd advise disregarding it. If I do not directly quote something from the report and provide an easy way for you to look up the page for yourself, disregard it.

If you need an extremely-abridged TL;DR, I'll include one in the spoiler below. For everyone else: Buckle up, because I'm about to bore your fucking socks off.

Nadler sounds like one of those people who’d bitch up a storm at Walmart just to get a refund on shit he bought a year ago.

Except, you know, he’s dealing with the AG’s office and they’re not going to capitulate so he’ll shut up and leave.

Yeah, watching it right now, and he comes across as a completely petulant little bitch. What a gong show.

Edit: And there you have it. The circus continues. Obviously, they voted yes.

It’s as @It's HK-47 said, they’re indicting someone for obeying the law. I was thinking about calling these people clowns. But it's gotten to the point where I feel bad for them. Your average clown is better than half the people he gets compared to.

This should be encouraged. Everyone in Washington will end up in Federal prison for failing to break the law and then we can start over without all the politicians.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think Democrats would stoop this far to drag out the Trump-Russia conspiracy.
The Powers That Be really believe this is a good look for them, too. Four or five times in the past few days YouTube has recommended me an entire row of Barr testimony videos, despite me clicking "not interested" on every single one.

It's going to be interesting to watch this play out, now. If he adheres to the subpoena, he violates 6(e) and breaks the law. If he ignores the subpoena, he's violated it and gets held in contempt of court for... Obeying the law. How the fuck is that going to get reconciled? "Look either you break the law or we'll punish you for obeying the law." It is literally an illegal, unenforceable order.

I can absolutely guarantee you that the entire lot of them are going to throw piss-baby tantrums over the whole "executive privilege" thing that Trump just did on the classified/redacted material in the Mueller report even though Obama did the exact same fuckin' thing.

However this gets handled, I’ll be disappointed if someone doesn’t go Judge Dredd on everyone and says “I AM THE LAW!”

So what happens in this situation? Which law supersedes the other?

I’m no legal expert. But I’m pretty sure you can’t be legally compelled to commit a crime. So even if the DOJ decides to huff a refinery’s worth of gasoline and take it to court, the case would get slapped down harder than a prostitute getting mouthy with her pimp.

They call that entrapment, and no you can't do it.

I fully support arresting everyone until all politicians are in jail.
HMm..... @It's HK-47 I just had an idea for our robot campaign slogan!

We promise to kill all humans - but we'll start with politicians.

Basically they can take the subpoena to a court and try to have it enforced, and the judge will slap it to the floor the second he's handed the paper, and in an ideal world he'd slap them across the face for even handing it to him in the first place. I have no fucking clue what their game plan for this could possibly be apart from an idiotic political stunt for the cameras, because the subpoena makes absolutely no fucking sense. It can't be enforced.

We'll see if they Smollett this or not.

Anything could happen!

I wonder how fast I can print and ship a load of William Barr masks to every Republican in the House...

It's a common facet of left ideology, IMO. Everything is a double-bind.

"Admit you are complicit in rape due to being part of the patriarchy, or you are part of the patriarchy and complicit in rape."

"If you say you have no privilege, you are exercising privilege."

ad nauseum

That sort of shit.

It makes the entire ideology mystical, disprovable, immune to rationality, and very cult-like.

Mueller is going to testify in front of the house committee on July 17. Also MuellerTime is trending on twitter.

And people still think Mueller still has one final play in his book to put Drumpf away forever.
