Does anyone else think that the wikipedia OP needs a rewrite? I know the focus is mainly on cows and not CW threads, but as a CW enjoyer and with the wikipedia thread being one of my favorite ones to read, i've been considering it.

Go ahead. We actually already had our boy @Tread Miller make a GIANT OP on fucking Gmod/Source Splatoon Animation Community (it’s just as autistic as it sounds) and it is currently the longest OP on site for CW subforum. So making a rewrite for Wikipedia is by no means a bad idea

I've kept promising to do it because it's absolutely shit-tier but I'd welcome anyone who actually got around to it.

I've only gotten as far as a general idea of specific kinds of "dumb shit" in categories, each with links to some particularly important part of it.

The thread has kind of focused on wokeshit presented as fact lately, but there are a lot of different kinds of things that are equally dumb, it's just that the wokeshit is what is actually crippling the site and ruining it as a source of reliable information (and it was never top-notch on reliability in the first place).

Anyway, some of the general categories:

Generic dumb shit, either dumb articles or dumb assertions

Wokeshit (this could be broken down into sub-topics like tranny shit and Gamergate shit and general culture war autism)

Ridiculous edit wars and talk page arguments

Nonsense articles by non-experts who drive off actual experts

Self-serving articles that are basically advertisements for/by the subject of the article

Outright wrong shit

KnowYourMeme tier shit about some passing viral shit that will be or already has been completely forgotten

Specific scandals like the time some American autist who can't even speak Scots ran the Scots Wikipedia for years by doing a Scrooge McDuck accent and completely making up fake Scots despite people vociferously complaining. Another example would be when they had a complete bullshit article on one of Philip Roth's novel that Philip Roth himself publicly denounced and they decided he wasn't a reliable source on his own novels. So he published an open letter insulting them in The New Yorker and suddenly it was reliable.

I think a lot/all of the links could be found just by highlight surfing but any time I've considered starting it I just gave up. If you could get some volunteers and start a DM and split it up so everyone could do highlight surfing of just part of it, I think it could be done. And I'd gladly volunteer too if someone without shit for brains did some organizing.

Anway, that OP is a fucking embarrassment and I'm ashamed of it. I'd be eternally grateful for someone to wash away my shame. (About the only thing I'd keep is the Jesus spit thing.)
 
Hey so when @Axiom. rewrote Elaine's OP I felt he had a really good system for doing so. It may be a good

He expressed interest and let people and mods know ahead of time, gathered folks who were most active in the thread who also volunteered to help in DMs and we discussed things there while he put things together to wrap it up. It was all business in DMs with some yapping/gossip laced in but we kept discussions contained to avoid shitting up a thread. It also helped to organize ideas and have proofreading done without putting the burden on staff or the community as a whole. So that when the rewrite was shared, it was cut and dry. Some small feedback was shared and changes were made but a majority was done behind the scenes so that a mostly polished product was already shared and ready to go. At that time it was considered one of the best rewrites and I think that has to do in part thanks to collaboration and doing a lot of work as a small but focused group with a clear leader and several assisting members.

I know y'all might not be looking for armchair opinions and whatever given the state of things and how tedious OP rewrites can be. Ideally you'd wanna do the thing that puts the least burden on the staffers but also accomplishes goals of making information clear and concise.

Okay well there's me. I think probably 5+ people would be able to divvy it up better. Since it isn't about something like a single lolcow, but about a bunch of dumb shit, it could probably just be split up by page number.

The old Lunime section of the Luni rewrite is finished! Next step is the New Lunime sections, list of traced assets, copyrighted characters, Lucas is a lolicon, Lucas groomed Purorange and maybe more. I will also work on the remake of the cycle + Orbiter section. Go ahead and help out if you like to. (as autistic it is.)

In total, I have confirmed that Lucas has traced over 111 assets so far. There's many more, so that's it for now. I am currently working on detecting plagiarized characters too.
 
Pat Rewrite
I have rewrote the first segment partially. In the Post-Lappening part, I think I have to cut short Big Nick's intro, since most of her life was openly powerleveled by Rick. I believe this will reintroduce his pets, like his three cats (especially Robert Mewler) and his pet lizard, whom he crushed to death. I may move the Patposting is funny part if possible, since I would expand the Robinson house and the extended line aside from the big dogs of the Tomlinsons. Like Lynne or Niki's relatives/family members.

Things are going good, I had to take a long break from OP rewriting, especially the Fatrick orbit. And Juan, if it's possible, I can rewrite the YandereDev thread with your and Rel's help, since I do actually know quite a lot about Alex himself. Hope things are doing well for you, I'm just, genuinely sorry of what you went through when JewTube takes down your work. Shit's hard, but wish you a good life and recover quickly.

I'd now consider keeping Lucas on hold, as he's not a big priority at the moment. When the time the Pat OP is finished, I will continue rewrite Luni's thread and add the Yandere Simulator section (which makes him an YanDev orbiter, and is as bad at making games as you think, albeit in higher volume. I'm also watching Sprate's playlists to get things straight.)

No offense, but why? I think, the only thing it is missing is 2023 shitshow, but I am kinda working on it. Kinda. I mean, at this point it seems to be the only way to reveal all of this. Otherwise, I just wanted to fix some misspellings and broken pictures, because Alex was incredibly boring since. It is just endless "lol game is not done yet CAN YOU IMAGINE GUYS". Oh, and his VA got doxed and turned out to be a grown man with a child. Yeah, this is sad.

Just asking in case if things would gone worse, since you’re going to be ideal for the YanDev rewrite, Relinquish and fellow Gopniks (yeah, lurked the other thread and translated your thoughts out) was particularly worried about your struggles, and I was wondering if you’re fine with an another person who is particularly good and well-versed within the Alex orbit, rewriting Alex’s thread if you lack the proper time schedule for him.

YandereDev is boring as shit nowadays, and most of the time it’s just a loophole after Osana Najimi and nothing else. And even in 2025, I still find people redesigning his stolen asset girls and that it’s just weird to see that there’s unironic Alex fans who doesn’t know the cum chalice. Since I did watch YandereDev lore, take your time decide if you’re good with rewriting Alex. Think of that, he spanned multiple splinters from different a-logs that still failed the same as the cum chalice himself :story:

Ok, guys, sorry for doublepost, but I have a suggestion. Late @BrunoMattei made three lolcow threads - Code Red DVD, Perry Caravello and most importantly Low Tier God. All of them are extremely outdated, but the main reason why I bring them up is the following - as many of you may know, Bruno turned out to be a psychopathic degenerate who contemplated of doing "a prank" that consisted of sending someone DAISY'S DESTRUCTION, imagined children getting roasted over fire and dreamed of something he called "Rape Factory". I am not going to moralize here of all places, but I think all of this is a good reason for him to get damnatio memoriae i.e. being wiped from history as much as possible. But otherwise, yeah, OPs of those threads are in a desperate need of an update.

@NaggotFigger said that he wanted to rewrite LTG’s thread (but he’s currently busy with Fatrick and Lumi rewrites), so I think if we’re gonna do this, LTG’s thread should be a priority. His A-logs have done a lot of digging and preserving LTG’s history, so it should be easy to research
