The Indian Headdress Debate

Lately, there's been quite a bit of hubbub about wether or not Indian Headdresses are okay to wear. Most people talking about the issue seem to lean not just against, but see it as tantamount to pulling a coon show on Amerindians.

Personally, I think people are seriously overreacting. From my understanding, the Indian War Bonnet is in many ways equivalent to a military uniform. Those who wear it in a serious context should have earned it, but those who wear it at a folk festival or at a Halloween party aren't being serious in the slightest. I don't think the bonnet should be seen as all that different from an army jacket or a royalty costume.

If these liberal whites care so much about Amerindians, they should study actual issues and push for some fuck-mothering infrastructure to be built on the reservations.

The Amerindians didn't practice circumcision. I think there's a lot we could stand to learn from them.
 
What do you mean infrastructure? There are a ton of indian casinos everywhere already.
 
The way to solve this is to combine stuff.
Glue a bunch of feathers and shit to a rebel flag bandanna that you're wearing like a turban.

I'm 1/4 Native, and if people want to wear headdresses I'm ok with it, because they look like idiots.

This. I am so fucking sick of tempests in teapots over superficial, moronic shit that affects literally nobody, where a bunch of idiots call for someone's head a plate, benefiting, again, literally nobody.

There are real issues with injustice against Indians, Native Americans, or whatever. That's another thing that doesn't fucking matter. For instance, the colossal mismanagement of land by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, just as an example. That's an actual injustice that causes ongoing harm to real people. Do any of these assclowns do anything about it?

No, because it's complicated and difficult to understand and would take actual work to fix.

But any mongoloid can get mad and retweet some bullshit about some headdress and muh cultural propriation.

I would say that in fact SJWs are actually a manifestation of an attempt to preserve white middle class priviledge by creating "debates" that seem to be going towards assisting oppressed groups that distract from real issues and enforce a sort of elitism of respect (most legitimately poor people don't know or care whether to use transgender or transsexual) that actually makes the oppressed people oppressors in the eyes of SJWs

The tribes don't want or need hand outs, they need their land taken out of trust so they actually can own and sell their land so they can do shit like build infrastructure and their economies themselves. They don't own their land, they are only the beneficiaries, and even then, they barely even see a penny of the money made from using it.

That being said, they have much bigger issues to worry about than war bonnets being worn by white people and whether or not it is offensive. This is another dumb social justice issue used to distract people from anything bigger going on.
 
Some see it as offensive as some tribes see the feathered headdresses as culturally significant, but most have much more important things to worry about than a couple of 20 year old girls at Coachelle taking selfies (like massive poverty, overwhelming drug and alcohol abuse, higher rates of rape, etc etc)
