She got into parliament as a list MP for ACT who aren't really conservative. They're more austically libertarian leaning and interestingly were formed were formed by Sir Roger Douglas - the OG autist who was fiance minister under Lange during the Fourth Labour government in the 80's (that one the one where they fucking privatised everything and gutted the railways - also the one where Muldoon was shitfaced). Same party Horseface ran into the ground.
I can see why she would. That shit only ramped up after the horseface's government with the tacit endorsement of the worthless sacks of shit running the public service and academia and anything else that isn't necessarily required to turn a profit.
On the first part the Haka is done by TPM MP's anytime they're even vaguely upset as a tantrum, but I suspect Ms Maipi-Clark (from memory the only TPM MP who showed contrition after they all sperged out last year) is probably smart enough to be entirely aware of and channelling the fact the Brian Tamaki and Destiny Church managed to make a bunch of jeets sperg out last year (I think) after they staged a march in auckland whining loudly that everyone else here was pointing out they're a bunch of entitled, nepotistic, parasites.
As much as I disdain the TPM - Ms Maipi Clark is correct in her assesment. Proving that tax-payer funds wasted on her salary isn't entirely the product of nepotism and connection to high ranking north island iwi members and that she may in fact have some common sense. Although considering her already minor party is currently splitting in half (and new zealand electoral rules are a bunch of race based nonsense) I doubt it.
I agree she should definitely push this and piss off the outsized Maori lobby and their sympathisers. I hate both most jeets and specifically the Maori elite so I hope both loose.
That sounds like absolute bullshit, and sounds exactly like typical indian lies. From memory the first non-european and non-maori's here were southern chinese minors and shopkeepers and other pacific islanders (to whom maori are hilariously racist).

Up until 1996 we had FPP and in effect a 2 party system from about the 1936 onwards when National formed from the ashes of the United and Reform parties. Labour was formed by disgruntled miners in the 1910's. Anyway for years that was it. We had minor parties before that and during 1984 one did come close to winning - but just meant Labour won and Muldoon's National government became opposition.
In 96 we swapped to MMP post referendum. So that means no more winner takes all and you ended up with coalitions. In fact 2020 was the first time since the old system that a party had enough seats to govern alone when horseface and her merry band of communists won. Seats for the most part depend on two things:
- Electoral Seats. The country is divided into electorates - both a general roll and a much wider but with smaller electoral base - maori roll. What that means is that most people eligible to vote - vote general (pakeha, chinese, maori). Some maori vote in the moari roll and it is these electoral seats that determine mostly who makes up parliament.
- Party Votes. In conjunction with the electoral seats are the party votes in which all parties running for election get a vote. It's not preference ranked, you just pick one.
- You spoil your ballot by drawing a great big veiny cock or writing nigger on your voting form.
We also have parliamentary supremacy and our judges are appointed not voted for.

Doing it in parliament is considered extremely poor taste and probably the equivalent to challenging someone to a duel I guess. Doing it on the front lawn of Parliament during the covid protests while polticians hide inside is on the other hand based and cool and you're homo if you think otherwise.
