i personally believe American churches are getting the old testament treatment from God for having angered him. (that's my religious cope).

i won't be surprised when large swathes of those sketchy TV churches open their doors for hindu demon worship festivals,engage in even more egregious donating scamming and actively gatekeep and/or browbeat any concerned christian who might have misgivings about this.

I glaze Nepal too much on this thread but that checks out. Half the Nepalese I've met are kinda like short-round from Indiana Jones.

The other 50% are pure jeets but this ratio is better than any other Jeet nationality that I've interacted with

One of the old Anglican churches in my city is no longer in use and is part of an Insurance office now. Kinda crazy to see a stone mortared church with gothic spires and all attached to a modernist office tower sporting a life insurance logo.

Bangladesh is well-known for it's famines. So much so that it even shows up in a lyric for a Bloodhound Gang song.
 
I am in an Italian city right now to visit family and the neighborhood is literally 50% with Indians and Bangladeshis. Their shops are only filled with Hindi signs and they play loud music on the streets. When I open my window I am not met with the smell of nice pasta, but the pungent smell of curry and noise of their music. They hang around one of the parks quite a lot as well, random groups of 5 Indian men.

I visited a pretty expensive cafe and the Indian bartender put on AI generated music for 6 whole songs, way too loud. Was even tapping along with it.

Made me pretty sad, because the Italians here are really cool. Its not like the Indians are super rude, but I just wanted to taste Italian culture, not hear Hindi songs and smell curry.
