I got a phone call from UPS today to possibly set up a job interview (found the listing on Indeed), but I told the guy who called I had to go without elaborating given several red flags:
- Minnesota area code (I'm in Florida) with very clearly Indian-accented guy calling.
- Guy didn't just ask about what time to set up an interview.
- Seemed hesitant to tell me which UPS location it was where I applied.
I figure this was a guy who is probably an illegal alien, and working there would mean I'd likely be assisting him with money ripping off people like me. Hiring has gotten so bad in this country that things like this are happening. This whole thing struck me as incredibly shady, and so I didn't pursue with setting up an interview. And this isn't simply blunt racism, it's just this is an overall societal problem with the host population getting ripped off given the government wants to keep importing illegals because it's cheaper and lazier.
