I dont know why they want to push for Windows 12 when 11 is still a broken mess. I can understand some people would want to use it, but I think the vast majority does not need an AI PC, especially a subscription based one.View attachment 8650783
It requires a dedicated NPU. That is, a second GPU dedicated just to running LLMs.
I'm guessing they're expecting people to move to cloud hosting or something this year? Cause I can count on one finger the number of computers I've seen in the wild with a NPU and I wouldn't even need the finger.
Oh, and, they're thinking they can trick people into paying a fucking monthly sub to their fucking operating system.
There is no fucking way anyone is going to do this. This is the most clueless, jeetafied decision I've seen in forever.
If it wasn't so hard to transfer all my existing games and programs from Windows to Linux I total would do it. Heck I may even buy a separate MacBook for whatever niche software I have that doesnt have good Linux support just to avoid Windows if it comes to that point.
