Quite frankly this is what happened to me. I want to avoid powerleveling but before my current job (which deals heavily in HR and customer service) I was pretty much "woke" when it comes to my views on race. This is because you're projecting the western individual mindset (and also the feminist ideal that women need to exist in a particular state to be happy). What is important to these women is that their culture is protected and replicated, they will be collectivist for their culture before they are motivated by a more selfish and individualistic idea of what is a good way to live. Their ingroup doing well is their reward for upholding the status quo of their societies even if you can argue that that's ultimately harmful to them as individual women.
