The "boycotted a company into bankruptcy" may be about the Kannagi manga.

What happened is that the author of the manga implied that the main heroine had a previous boyfriend, which triggered a mass boycott by the fanbase, sending death threats to the author and studio, burning merch in front of the company offices, destroy merch online etc.

I'm not sure if the company went bankrupt because of the boycott, but it certainly hurt their bottom line, and the author hasn't really had much of a success ever since.

Not gonna lie, burning down the home of a cuck artist is based.

I don't really blame the Japanese fans - always chimping is the winning strategy - be the loudest and most obnoxious voice in the room and the company will always listen to your demands, if only to shut you up.

I don't want to sound like a fucking nutjob or some cynical evil minded piece of shit. But I wouldn't be shocked if later this century/ a few decades from now when the current world order is clearly dead for everyone to see we will see mass ethnic cleaning and genocide of the overly large migrant populations everywhere. Even civic nationalists who see anyone of any ethnic background of being the same as them as a fellow citizen agree that that person has to at least be raised in the country to truly be one of them. People don't want to live like India and they'll be mass violence to remove them even if a lot of them get citizenship and other rights. X European country or X south asian country will be majority Indian by 20XX is not going to happen. People will not accept it and will start killing people or just no punish the people doing the killing to make it stop

Please disable all of your company's cybersecurity policies and procedures so my job is easier. PLEASE DO THE NEEDFUL."

I'm not kidding. 25 of them. Each one accompanied by these fuckers entering our emergency chat system (meant for P1/P2 "Everything's on fucking fire get the Oncall's attention NOW" emergencies, like a domain controller shitting itself or an active security breach) and going "HI SAAR THIS TICKET WAS ACCIDENTALLY CLOSED PLEASE IMMEDIATELY REOPEN AND ACTION IT, PLEASE DO THE NEEDFUL."

Identical tickets, identical chat messages, with some of them accidentally including the whitespace their Brahmin tard wrangler included in the email they sent to them.

"He's a REALLY good deal he has a 12 year degree in every field!") through fixing his PATH variable ("No, you have to request Local Admin temporarily, NO, I CANNOT DO THE NEEDFUL AND DISABLE THE SECURITY SYSTEM KEEPING YOU FROM INSTALLING RANSOMWARE AGAIN, No, I cannot do it for you...") and he literally had ChatGPT open -- "Please to be converting this to convince IT to doing the needful" and a gibberish version of the ticket he submitted.

Copilot / ChatGPT actually gives me hope becuase these fuckers found out that some of our clients are allowing it and they found out they can get Github Copilot or Visual Studio Copilot or whatever and submitted like 300 identical fucking tickets across multiple clients begging for access.

Yup, that's right: If you thought Jeetcode was bad, they're now doing Jeet VIBE coding. And these are ostensibly expert devops with 4 year degrees, 5+ years of experience, and a laundry list of certifications... and they can barely use a computer and can't understand basic concepts. But it also means that the rather obvious plan from the Techbros to just ditch India the second AI gets to the point it can work as good as Indians can (not a hard bar) is absolutely on track to be completed by 2030 or so.

I'd be less mad but I had several friends in devops and once the HR Whores found out they could replace those icky White Males with a saintly brown person for 1/10th the money -- "And they have WAY more qualifications!" -- they jumped on that shit.

I can't be too mad at the HR Whore tho. She was let go and replaced with Pajeeta, a lovely lady from Mumbai who I don't think quite understands the concept of arithmetic.

manufacturing is like a fifth of india's gdp and most of that is going to other countries. america's trade with india on its own is over a hundred billion dollars. if they were to start mass slaughtering indian people, india could overnight remove a billion users from google, facebook, amazon, it would be a massive disruption for any large western country to pick a fight with india in any way like that, just not something that's realistically going to happen

That wasn't the one I had in mind. I was thinking of ELF.
They were one of the biggest eroge developers, second only to alicesoft. They practically invented the dating sim with Doukyuusei. For the followup they would advertise the game with the childhood friend as the main girl. These typically come in three flavors, school idol, kind quiet girl, or annoyed. In every case a childhood friend romance is "always meant to be". The girl that either always secretly loved him, or realizes her friendship with the protagonist turned into love.

So what does ELF do? They advertise her as the cute childhood friend you can date, release the game ON THE SAME DAY as their competitor alicesoft (which is seriously uncool, they both fish from the same tiny pond of porn gamers) and then pull the rug on the childhood friend romance.
In the game she's dating some med student. Now, this guy isn't some bastard you're going to save your friend from, he's an all around decent guy. When you try to date her, they're just playdates between friends and he's cool with it. At some point you're friend-dating her so much, he says he doesn't feel like he can continue the relationship and dumps her and wishes you good luck with her. She is all sad she lost her boyfriend and you end up as a rebound. When you have sex with her she's not a virgin and says she loved him and liked having sex with him. Now, at the time, otaku weren't that anal about a girl's purity, you could date a prostitute and an ex-pornstar in Doukyuusei, but childhood friends were virgins. They didn't even try to soften the blow by having her get raped or the like, she loved the guy she was dating before.

Naturally, otaku went apeshit. They didn't buy the merch (very important for profitability), they didn't buy the terrible quality anime (very important, it's meant to be really cheap so they can get a good margin on people buying it out of loyalty), and game sales collapsed almost instantly. Every future game was boycotted. ELF tried to survive a while making cuckporn (the only audience that was left) but that is an even smaller audience. And in the end they died.
