"We need H1B's for the economy"
Nigga what economy? Most people can't afford their own home, while foreigners are buying houses in the cities, and can't pay back student debt, and jobs are being outsourced for cheap labor to Indians or the Chinese, or AI.
I will write in weak defense of H1B and other immigrant worker programs having seen cases where they were infact used correctly and not abused.
Now, before I start lets get clear on the ground rules:
1) Regardless of the potential of the program, it is abused to the fucking moon. It is abused by companies, specifically retarded managers and C levels who only care about min-maxing metrics for reports not actual output quality. It is abused by Jeets trying to import more jeets to extract labor and shit up the US to make it more like their shit-infested homes.
So just because it CAN be used to benefit of Americans I am not disputing that it usually ISN'T. I am extremely woke to the Jeet menace.
2) Flooding areas with dozens/hundreds/thousands of jeets and their retarded cousinspouses and inbred jeetlets turns those areas in india-tier hellholes. The H1 program has legitimate use, the H4 program should not exist. so even if used correctly, the H1 program does harm by not forcing H1bs to respect the area they are in.
3) Indian has 1.4 billion
people jeets. Even if 99.9% of jeets are worthless subhumans, that still leaves almost two million jeets that are not total ass. If companies do their due dilligence they can find these diamonds in the rough.
So I worked as a night security at a meat processing plant, work mostly consisted of making sure the place didn't burn down/ niggers andor spics didn't break in and have the place to themselves for hours/the refrigeration units were running and holding temp. This place was in a low-income area, you could get on the IR security cameras and watch drug deals go down in the residential area across the street. They paid nearly double minimum wage for day shifts, and night shift was not quite triple minimum wage, plus "OK" benefits - it was a more than fair wage, and people within walking distance would have benefitted from it greatly.
But they could not find enough workers because it was dirty work moving meat and feeding it into the machines. So they worked with a agricultural labor firm to bring in temporary workers from Mexico and Guatemala and they formed the night crew. In no way were resident workers prevented from working graveyard shift - there were a couple of people who worked it, and for a month there was a few more who signed up for night shifts for the extra money and shift supervisor was more than happy to have the extra hands. It was open for anyone who was interested, there just were few takers.
So this company did their damnest to find Domestic workers, thye couldn't. And keeping the processing plant running 3 shifts 6 days a week kept them competitive and ensured the day shift workers remained employed.
This is the system working exactly as intended, where the Spics were brought in, put up in apartments for 8 months, and then sent home. I honestly don't see anything they could have reasonably done.
Also the Spics cost the company more than a domestic worker. They earned the same wage, and the recruitment firm got paid a fee, plus a rate for every worker put on a shift, and bonus for ensuring there was staffing to run the shift.
I also worked for a tech company that worked very hard to employ US citizens. But they had about a 50% burn-out rate for US citizens within the first year. Not because of the job - the job was great with good benefits and high pay - but because the area was so shit. If you didn't have something lined up, any salary increase you had went right into cost of living (god forbid you had a family and wanted something with a yard and not a bughive) and traffic was a nightmare. We had people come in from the midwest/south and just go back after a year because of how shitty the living situation was.
We also did a very good job on Jeet recruitment. You had to have a legitimate degree to get hired, and could not be in the recruitment chain if a hire was a family member or close family friend, and we had legit Jeetwranglers who knew all the government people to talk to. Some guy tried to get a cousin in, it was found out, and the guy and his cousin both got sent back to india and blackballed. The jeets were also very big on stamping out local jeet behavior. Anyone who used "do the needful" on an email got struggle sessioned; and it was based sessions. One guy was asked "Do you see any black people (not using proper american english) on their emails? Are you saying you aren't smarter than a black person?".
Now, for a tech company it is a little more dubious; they could have relocated to places that were less shit, or opened branch offices that weren't in urban hellscapes vs. a meat packing plant where you can't just pick up an move a whole factory floor. But regardless, they made a solid effort but could not attract enough workers. They didn't want to use H1B but that's what they needed to do to fill roles.
They are
Poffertjes which are sort of pancake cousins.
