They need to renew their Visas in India. This is just Microsoft making sure they don't need to replace people ASAP. They'll phase these jeets out before their renewal. There is no avenue that these dudes get to stay in the long run.

I doubt this is even the last step on visa reform. This is still the first year of the administration.

Yeah I think this is poorly understood because its a newer policy.

If you are in the US on a H1B from India you cannot renew this visa within the US. You have to return to your home country and renew at the Consulate. Which is where they will deny you for not having a confirmed receipt from your employer that this fee is paid. This will likely be reflected in the USCIS systems such that you cannot just scam it with a fraudulent piece of paper.

Working the same way it does when you have other filing fees associated to the USCIS.

One of the really depressing things is we can't "scale" or rig the H1B system so Euro states get their own seperate quota as Indians living in the EU will just suck them up.

For supposedly being some sort of watchdog group/lobbying whose job it is to understand policy change they seem to be trying to blackpill for no apparent reason. Many of the items that "aren't good" that they're claiming are provably incorrect. They should probably have waited longer than like 5 hours to understand it first like everyone else before immediately rushing to say orange man didn't help them at all.

Oh boy, I can say a lot about these guys. The next logical step is to make the H1B renewal annual instead of every 3 years. Additionally the I140 processing for green cards needs to be eliminated entirely. If they intend to keep the H1B it is a NON-IMMIGRANT VISA. I140 completely undermines that.

Then you need to look into every green card or citizenship granted off of H1B. You have to find out if they were actually attempting to hire Americans during the tenure of that H1B. If not, fraudulent residency, get going Ranjeet.
