PSA to the thread: Don't forget to take the dumb little customer service satisfaction survey at the end of the call and mention in the general feedback section at the end that you couldn't understand the customer representative's accent, and that it negatively impacted your ability to solve whatever issue you are calling about. Be polite but firm, so that whatever middle managers are stuck reviewing and tabulating the feedback can't just write you off as a crazy person. Will it help? I don't know. But I've been doing this with my cellphone carrier especially for years and the last time I called (earlier this year), a young woman from New Mexico was on the other end of the line. It was the first time I got an actual American on the initial call. No trace of an accent, it was a breath of fresh air.

Flips here tend to assimilate within a generation and often become small business owners. There's a degree of nepotism in that your local Pinoy bakery or supermarket will probably employ other Flips but they're not trying to get government/corporate jobs and dominate those workplaces. They're also happy to do physical labour. In my community, at least, they are very big on tangible charity, hosting "all welcome" community meals at their churches and donating food to other organisations for distribution to those in need.

I'm not discounting the possibility that we see the best of them as they're not coming here as refugees or under cheap labour programmes.

The overwhelming majority of whites lead a boring, mostly monogamous life but they tolerate the existence of far more eccentric lifestyles because personal freedom and choice is a fundamental part of the white western worldview.

Half the articles were about doctors who came to the UK, referenced medical fraud in the UK or instances of Indian doctors committing fraud or malpractice in the U.S. The point was a lot of Indian doctors have fake degrees then get imported to America or other countries where they either take a test to practice medicine or in some instances don't need to re-test to practice depending on the area. They have higher rates of being let off in the U.K. and are over-all dishonest people, do you seriously think the ones who get imported here are the "cream of the crop" and not just the average? The "cream of the crop" isn't even that good either.
