I'll say this, Hinduism is a complex religion and is interesting to read about. I like the Indo-European connections, especially with gods like Indra and Agni. It's still backwards but i can see why their myths are popular with non-Hindus
To be serious, I consider hindu myths interesting but completely subsumed in nihilism. Brahma the creator cannot be worshipped because creation is pointless because of destruction. Vishnu and his avatars preach mindlessness, literal pied piper of hamelot but as a detached stoic. Shiva reigns supreme because destruction springs from nothing and thus has no start or end, making him stronger than everything else.
Hinduism and Buddhism have undoubtedly been compromised and co-opted over the centuries of their existence to placate ignorant masses into accepting the horrible treatment the underclasses received from those in power throughout Asia.
Pagan religions have always been like this which is why it makes me lol when lefties think that rejecting christianity in favor of nothing or some form of paganism will make society more progressive and free. In ancient egypt, rome and greece the priests lived in luxury off the back of the masses and their pharaoh who was also the high priest was worshipped as a god. There is no right or wrong way to practice a pantheistic faith so it is incredibly vulnerable to manipulation by nefarious actors. My old religion teacher said the same thing. Hinduism and Buddhism could never create a country like the United States or Europe because their religions are intrinsically nihilistic.
