Most Chinese people use the internet to game/enjoy media, look at cute animal pictures, and talk about hobbies. Do basic normal shit. Indians use the internet to do one of five things:

In nature there's the idea of an obligate parasite and an opportunistic one. The opportunistic one will cause trouble if the opportunity presents itself. This is basically every ethnic group on the planet, who can use the internet in a basically sane way but has a minority of users who will fuck shit up. The obligate parasites can only parasitize. Playing with an idea for a scifi horror story that takes the "AI stands for 'actually Indians" concept and combines it with the old scifi standby of AI using humans as organic circuitry to build itself into a flesh-horror computing god. Colonists lose contact with earth and return, finding nothing but immense fleshmachines chugging away, dotting the surface of the planet. As they investigate what the machines are computing and how their former home has come to this end, they realize that the flood of Indians online hijacked developing AI and molded it after their own civilization. An outsourced data center in New Delhi was the first to begin incorporating jeets into its own circuitry, constantly expanding, conquering the surface of the globe as it turned other computing gods to its side. In the end, the machines won and enslaved all humanity, and turned its power towards nurturing it's ever-growing fleshgarden. When a little jeetlet is popped out of a test tube it spends the first forty years of its life like a worker ant, nurturing and maintaining the great lurching machines. At the age of forty he is finally incorporated into his god, where every ounce of humanity's processing power is bent towards generating ever-more depraved porn for the Indian hivemind caught in an eternal goonsesh. In the end, the returning settlers tearfully cleanse the cradle of humanity in nuclear hellfire.

You need to think about the numbers. There are a huge amount of Chinese people, so a small percentage of them will look huge to anyone who comes across them online. In real, in person conversations with actual people from China I've tried to talk politics and most of them are flat-out not interested, some of them are not even informed. They're interested in Gacha games, funny panda videos, gardening, whatever. This applies for both highly educated people and just normal people. Basically hyper-normies, completely tuned out from politics, they watch Chinese news and have a certain worldview but it's not part of their personality and they don't post about it online generally. As someone who is interested in international politics I found this a bit disappointing at first but I've met maybe one Chinese person out of dozens who is kind of interested in politics and has a serious nationalistic fervor, but even for them it's not something they post about online. That stuff about electric cars, drone shows, high speed rail, war, etc. is all true as far as mindset goes for many of them but they aren't spamming that shit online 24/7. It's like a 'background belief' if that makes sense.

I think the heart of the matter is that they grew up in a one party state. So they do absorb a certain worldview but the idea of getting fired up about politics and posting about it constantly is alien to most of them. Why would you ever do that when it won't have any effect on the political system to begin with?

Indians, every single one has had an absolutely pig stupid insistence on Indian supremacy, has brought up shit like Kalistan that nobody cares about and hammered on about it in unrelated conversations. Complete politispergs in real life, and I can't follow any of them online because it's just a complete shitting street of propaganda. Of the Chinese people that I know that are naturalized citizens none of them are really active in US politics or care much about them. Many Indian people are, and their sole concern when discussing US politics is which side benefits India. It's like the Chinese view this country with mercenary impartiality - they're here to make money, maybe learn skills, but they do have this unwavering confidence in Chinese superiority that you mentioned so they see currying favor or trying to sway America to benefit China as beneath them. Indians are all insecure nationalist peacocking and the difference is outright staggering.

On a serious note, I've noticed this new trend of Muslims accusing everyone who posts negatively about them of being Indian or Hindu, the underlying implications being that nobody but them could possibly dislike Muslims and that all negative consequences of Islamic migration to the West (which by all accounts is still ongoing) are just being exaggerated by the 'jeets with an axe to grind. This is in addition to the well known trend of Indians just accusing anyone who speaks negatively about their group of being a Pakistani or being paid by them.

And by the way, that Japanese guy was referring to a news report (link to full tweet) and the replies were mostly just Japanese people and weebs reacting negatively to this, it wasn't his actual endorsement of Indian mass immigration.
