I was never a good coder, let alone an excellent coder. I was never a structured operator. I was not the person you would want to run the ships or trains on time. You know, I had maybe reasonable design skills but I was not the person you’d trust to make something look gorgeous. Some people have an intuitive sense of design. I was not one of them, but what, you know, I think served me really well and this is accidental and it’s only later that they kind of figured out, um you know, how to really sharpen it was I found myself doing jobs where I could do the intersection of the tree. So I would be in these product roles but had to speak in public or write in public then I would…eventually I obviously found a way to venture [capital] where I would do a lot of writing in public and then have to meet people as part of the core job.
